Biography
Born in 1994, Idir Azougli, played Riyadh in the French feature film Shéhérazade by director Jean-Bernard Marlin. The film won the Best Debut Film Award at the César Awards in France as well as the Best International Feature Film Award at the Zurich Film Festival and has been nominated in many other film festivals including the Hamburg Film Festival and the Montreal New Cinema Festival. Idir, meanwhile, was nominated for the César 2019 in the category of best male hope.
Idir Azougli can also be seen on the small screen in States d'Urgence where he plays X. He will be in Tom McCarthy's next feature film, Stillwater, alongside Matt Damon, Camille Cottin and Abigail Breslin, as well as in Bac Nord alongside Gilles Lellouche. He also shot in Trace ta Route in 2019 by Romuald Rodrigues Andrade where he won the prize for male interpretation at the Lille European Festival.
