   I would say write to him, if you don't do it you will never know if he will answer you or not. You have nothing to worry about, how do you know you won't like it? Try it first, then talk. He won't eat you.

   You don't even know him ... how do you know he's smart, decent and different?

   Writing to him like that is easier than stopping him somewhere in the corridors with the words "hey shit do you want to meet" right? : D So write to him, be yourself, ask him about his hobby, the music he listens to (trying not to ask too personal questions) Find your common interests and talk about them, blur it and don't get scared there is nothing scary! :) Smile in his corridors, greet him and then if he doesn't suggest first tell him something like "hey you know it will be great to go out sometime, if you want give your number" and something like that and the job is done if is bright, even if you don't become a boyfriend you will still have a strong friend, nothing to lose, and if he cuts you off, even when you write to him kindly, fuck him and know that he doesn't deserve you! :)
