Over the years, the members of the Hooverphonic collective have tried different sounds and genres, but the backbone of their composition has never changed. The history of the creation of the team dates back to 1995 in Flanders, Belgium. The founders were Alex Callier, Raymond Geert, Frank Duchamp and Esther Liebert. The musicians recorded The Magnificent Tree as a trio. The release allowed them to declare themselves on the international stage, being in the French chart. In Belgium, the album climbed to # 2 in the rankings and was certified double platinum following sales.
