We talked about it, he promised me he would stop, but when 2 days passed without smoking and he became terribly nervous. When he goes to work he doesn't smoke, he concentrates. But when he comes home, his first job is to sit down and get drunk. He becomes inadequate and totally naughty. This affects both him and our relationship. What should I do I've tried everything and absolutely nothing works. They advised me to leave him, if he loved me he would stop smoking, etc. We have been together for a long time and I love him. You can't make him stop because of you. The decision must come from him, from within, otherwise (as you have already seen) it makes no sense. I don't know what to tell you except to reassure you that the grass isn't so scary. It is not good to smoke every day, so you can convince him to reduce it - once a week, for example.
