Gaitana Essami is a Ukrainian singer, singer-songwriter and representative of Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2012 in Baku.

Gaitana was born on March 24, 1979 in Kiev. The girl's father, Congolese Klaver Essami, soon took Gaitana and her mother Tatiana Petrovna to his home country in the CAPITAL of the DRC - the city of Brazzaville. In 2003, Gaitana recorded her first solo album, "About You," at the recording studio Lavina Music.
