Frank Zane

Frank Zane is an American bodybuilder nicknamed Chemist, three-time Mr. Olympia, winner of prestigious competitions, owner of the most proportional body in the history of bodybuilding.

Born during World War II, Zane is one of the oldest surviving bodybuilders, an expert in bodybuilding and active aging.

Frank Zane was born in Kingston, Pennsylvania on June 28, 1942. Father Adam F. Zane repaired television and radio equipment, mother Laura ran the household and raised the children, the eldest Frank and the youngest Adam.

The religious views of Protestant parents set the Zane family apart from the city's inhabitants. The boys were laughed at and mocked. Frank was a fragile teenager and could not protect himself and his younger brother. He decided to get stronger and went into sports.
