Biography
Very young, Fatsah Bouyahmed learned the profession of actor by taking lessons at the Théâtre-Etincelle in Aubervilliers for 3 years. After that, he plays in various troupes and participates in several shows from 1993 to 2006 such as "Les Précieuses Ridicules" and "La Jalousie Barbouillé", both directed by Philippe Varache between 1997 and 1998, as well as in plays by Carlo Boso, "The Lovers of Verona" in 2000 or "The Two Gentlemen of Verona".
It was in the early 2000s that Fatsah met his life in the person of Jamel Debouze on Nova radio for a sketch. From then on, the two men began to work together; first of all on the “Jamel Comedy Club”, some of which Fatsah sketches appear in the TV edition on Canal +, then on Jamel's new show “Made In Jamel” which they are co-writing with the author Kader Aoun.
At the same time, Fatsah made a number of televised forays into television films ("Le Premier qui dit non" by Marc Fallevic and "Ligne Blanche" by Ali Arhab, which he co-wrote) and series (Péplum created and produced by Jonathan Lambert and the host Thierry Ardisson for M6 and La Petite Histoire de France on W9 produced by Debouze).
The actor started his film career in 2010 with Coursier carried by Michaël Youn. It is subsequently found in many other comedies other comedies via secondary roles and some of which turn out to be big commercial boxes (Les Kaîra by Franck Gastambide or Les Nouvelles Aventures d'Aladin by Arthur Benzaquen).
But it was in 2016 that Fatsah Bouyahmed was given the main role of a film, since he played and co-wrote the screenplay for The Cow, which allowed him to find his lifelong partner Jamel Debouzze and the director Mohamed Hamidi with which he collaborated two years previously for Né Quelque Part. In La Vache, he plays Fatah, an Algerian breeder whose dream is to go with his cow Jacqueline to France so that she takes part in the annual Salon de l'Agriculture in Paris.
His moving and convincing performance earned him his first award: The Michel Galabru Prize at the 2016 Alpe d'Huez International Comedy Film Festival, chaired this year by Kad Mérad.
