Biography
Now the Californian band Faith No More belongs to the legendary teams that in the 20th century created in the genre of metal rock. Over the years, she has received a number of gold medals, as well as nominations for the Grammys and MTV Music Video Awards.
fact
History of creation and composition
The author of the history of the creation of the band was drummer Mike Bordin, who during his years of school played in the team E-Street. There he met a number of outstanding musicians, including the bassist Metallica and his future colleague Jim Martin.
After reorganizing the youth team, which did not produce anything outstanding, Mike, nicknamed Puffy, decided to assemble a new line-up. In early 1981, he met with Wade Worthington and Billy Gould, and then Mike Morris joined the team, taking charge of vocals.

The guys thought for a long time about the name that would glorify them in America, and, having passed a number of sonorous variants, settled on the phrase Faith No More. Two years after the meeting, they recorded several demos in the garage on non-professional equipment, which were included in the debut album.
In the years following, the band's line-up changed several times, with performers such as Chuck Mosley and Courtney Love. There was a period when Bordin collaborated with an old acquaintance Jim Maritin, but in the end he was replaced by a more talented musician.
Now, after problems and crises, two members remain from the backbone of the team - Billy Gould on bass and Mike Puffy on drums and backing vocals, and the other three entrenched members of the band in 2009 were Roddy Bottum, John Hudson and lead singer Mike Patton.

Music
Since the band was based in San Francisco, it had no difficulty finding a recording studio, and the debut album We Care A Lot was released on Mordam Records. Prior to that, the band created the single "The Song of Liberty," which independent critics said was awarded three out of five stars.
In 1987, after the release of the 2nd album, which was made in Los Angeles and called Introduce Yourself, Faith No More made a semi-professional video, which was shown on the music channel, and was in the UK in the prestigious list albums of the year.
This helped promote the band, which toured with Red Hot Chili Peppers and in 2 months of the joint tour performed in America more than 50 times. And then there were solo concerts in Europe, allowing the dissemination of cassette tapes with recordings, which were attended by songs such as Chinese Arithmetic, Spirit and Blood.
Returning from a trip to California, the musicians began to take up new material and in early 1989 presented the album The Real Thing. All 11 tracks were recorded for the first time by vocalist Mike Patton, who performed a cover on Black Sabbath called War Pigs for the first time.
Thanks to this song and music video Epic Faith No More gained popularity and received numerous awards editions of Sounds and Kerrang!. And after the Grammy nomination and the RIAA certificate, Mike Bordin and the company presented angel Dust.

In the mid-and-late 1990s, Faith No More worked in the hard metal style and topped up the video archive and discography with a number of experimental and successful works. First, the musicians released the album King for a Day... Fool for a Lifetime and then presented Album of the Year with songs by Helpless and She Loves Me Not.
After that, creative disagreements arose between the group members, and in an interview with American magazines Bordin said that he was disbanding the project. But in early 2009, the team in the new line-up revived and gave a full-scale concert in London.
This was followed by long tours, which included visits to a number of European countries, and performances at rock festivals, including an event in Perm. But during this period the band was not ready to continue the studio work, because there was no necessary mood, as well as new texts and music.
In May 2014, the band's Twitter account posted a photo of vocalist Mike Patton and a message that the artists would soon be presenting their 7th album. And 12 months later, Sol Invictus was released, which included the controversial track Motherfucker and the ballad Rise of the Fall.
