Evgeny Aldonin

Evgeny Aldonin was born in the Crimean city of Alupka on January 22, 1980. His father worked as a ship mechanic, and his mother worked as a store manager. Zhenya studied well at school, and also became interested in football early enough and started attending the local sports section. Soon the Aldonin family moved to Yalta. Until the tenth grade, Zhenya had to combine school with football and play in the Crimean championship.

His debut within the Rotor team, not the Rotor 2 farm club, was a meeting with Wings of the Soviets on April 30, 2000. Soon the head coach of the club changed, and Evgeny was moved to the position of the wing midfielder. Only in the next season, when another personnel reshuffle took place in Rotor, Aldonin moved to the position of a defensive midfielder.

In subsequent years, Evgeny continued to demonstrate excellent football, and in 2002 he was first called up to the main national team of the Russian Federation. The player's citizenship (he was born in a city that was then considered Ukrainian) would have allowed him to play for the Ukrainian national team, but the football federation of this country showed no interest in the young midfielder. The next season, in contrast to all sorts of achievements in 2006, was not very productive for both CSKA and Aldonin himself. In the 2010 season, Aldonin often remained in reserve while his main competitor, the younger Pavel Mamaev, played on the field. In an interview of that time, Eugene noted that, despite his experience, he does not at all consider himself a clan of “football veterans” and sets a lot of goals for himself. In particular, Aldonin attached great importance to work within the national team.

Then the player suffered a thigh injury, and after a short period of time - a groin injury. He appeared less and less at club meetings. At the end of the season, the club began negotiating the lease of the midfielder to the Premier League teams. And the footballer trained with the youth squad to keep fit. Then the player still expressed his intentions to show high-quality football, and he was not too worried about the salary.

In 2012, Aldonin was rented from FC Mordovia. The head coach of the club noted that an experienced player would not interfere with his team, who would give it a high class and great confidence. Aldonin played well for the new club, but during the warm-up before the meeting with FC Krasnodar another injury awaited him: a tear in the calf muscle. By the next match, Evgeny did not fully recover and could not demonstrate his masterful game.
