Evgeny Gerasimov is a well-known Russian and Soviet theater and film actor, athlete, politician, Moscow City Duma deputy.

Evgeny Vladimirovich Gerasimov was born in Moscow on February 25, 1951. The boy grew up in an ordinary working-class family and went to a physics and mathematics school. The early childhood of the future actor was spent on Plyushchikha. Eugene was going to connect his life with science and planned to enter a technical university. During his school years, the young man starred in a movie, after which he changed his plans. In 1968, immediately after graduating from school, Yevgeny Gerasimov entered the faculty of acting at the Shchukin Theater School. Alexander Fedorovich Borisov became the head of the course for which the aspiring artist was enrolled.

When the young man was 14 years old, he first appeared in a movie. The teenager independently came to the casting, where children of his age, who dreamed of acting in films, auditioned for the role of Sanka Rymarev. It was Eugene who got this episodic role in the film They Shall Not Pass, which was released in 1965. In the film, which tells about the events of 1934, the young man played a boy whose mother became the beloved of an Austrian rebel. The experience of working in cinema changed the dreams and aspirations of the young man, and instead of a technical profession, he chose the profession of an actor.

Gerasimov is familiar to a wide audience, first of all, thanks to the role of the robot Werther from the film, based on the works of Kir Bulychev. The film "Guest from the Future" was released in 1984, but before that Eugene had many interesting projects in which he starred on the same stage with Georgy Zhzhonov, Leonid Bronev, Vasily Lanov, Georgy Yumatov, Irina Miroshnichenko, Tatiana Peltzer and other famous Soviet artists. In 1972, Gerasimov graduated from drama school, and by this time he had five films on his account. After leaving the theater, Evgeny's work in cinema became more noticeable. In 1980, the actor starred in the film Ogareva 6 and its sequel, Petrovka 38. These films, which tell about the work of Soviet law enforcement agencies, were especially warmly received by the audience. Evgeny Gerasimov played the role of Senior Lieutenant Valentin Roslyakov, who is one of the main characters along with the characters of Georgy Yumatov and Vasily Lanovoy.

Eugene's personal life was very successful. After the end of "Pike" in the mid-seventies, the young actor met an attractive girl, Maria. At the time of their acquaintance, the artist's future wife was a student at the Philological Institute in Moscow. After a long romance, the actor proposed to his beloved.
