Biography
After studying Political Science, Eric Besnard presented his first feature film in 1998, Le Sourire du clown. In this noir film, Ticky Holgado plays a sad clown on the verge of committing suicide in a hotel room but a murder committed in the next room will prevent him from taking action.
From 2003 he began to write scripts in different registers and for other directors such as Nicolas Boukhrief with Le Convoyeur. In this detective film with Albert Dupontel and Jean Dujardin, the screenwriter has also hired a journalist to investigate this highly regulated environment. Then place in the comedy where he starts the house of Carole Bouquet in Travaux before proposing an Antidote to the anxiety attacks of Christian Clavier. As for the thriller, he co-wrote with Mathieu Kassovitz and Joseph Simas a post apocalyptic fable with Babylon AD then offered Xavier Palud the story of a duel between Commander Lassalle, played by Jacques Gamblin, and his first suspect, played by Lambert Wilson .
In 2008 it is the return to directing for the filmmaker with Ca $ h. He thus finds Jean Dujardin in the role of a con artist who attacks perhaps this time much stronger than him… The lure of gain seems to inspire him since the following year he turns 600 kilos of pure gold with Clovis Cornillac as an adventurer lost in the jungle. In 2012 he directed what seems to be his most personal film, My Heroes. In this comedy Josiane Balasko and Gérard Jugnot form a sixty-year-old couple who quarrel as much as they love each other. Their son comes to relax at home for a weekend. He is leading Clovis Cornillac for the third time.
