Biography
Actress since the age of five, Elaine Cassidy begins on the boards of her school in Great Britain in an adaptation of Pinocchio . At 13, she appeared in the short film The Stranger within me by director Geraldine Creed, which she found in 1996 in The Sun, the moon and the stars, her first feature film.
It is thanks to the Voyage of Felicia by Atom Egoyan, presented at the Cannes Film Festival in 1999, that Elaine Cassidy became known to the general public, playing a young hitchhiker taken care of by the disturbing Bob Hoskins. Also an actress for British television, she returned to the big screen in 2001 in the thrillerfantastic The Others by Alejandro Amenabar, in which she plays a mysterious mute waitress. That same year, Elaine Cassidy starred in the Irish drama Disco pigs.
