At the age of 16, Ekaterina Eremenko joined electronic music. Her friend composed compositions in the drum and bass genre, which played a key role in the singer's biography. Young people released joint songs, went to raves and even themselves, still minors, organized musical parties in Chernivtsi.

"Free" music dictated the rules of behavior, therefore, from the 9th grade, Ekaterina smoked and drank alcohol. The singer almost got rid of her addiction to nicotine, only when she comes to her hometown, she allows herself a cigarette.

After graduating from music and high schools, Eremenko, as her mother wanted, entered the National University of Food Technologies in Kiev. After several attempts to master the "serious" profession, DaKooka gave up and took the documents, deciding to devote herself entirely to creativity.

At the age of 18, DaKooka, inspired by her failures in her personal life, wrote her first song "Die If You Don't Love Me". People who are not familiar with the work of Catherine believe that this track belongs to Alina Orlova.

The compositions accumulated, in 2015 resulting in a full-fledged debut disc "Radha", named after the goddess of love in Hinduism. What was lyrics and melodies in my head, in 3 days in the Ternopil studio "Spital Records" turned into an independent album. The playlist includes 11 songs in English, including "Someone and No One", "Better Be Alone", "Coffee", and one in Polish - "Mnie Nie Ma".

The pseudonym was born easily: friends called Catherine Catherine, and the prefix "Yes" appeared when it was necessary to change the name of the postal address. English songs could not be performed by Dakuka, so the girl translated them into Latin - DaKooka.

"Radha" was included in the top 15 Ukrainian albums according to the Internet blog LiRoom. DaKooka, after receiving the approval of the audience and critics, decided to move on. In part, Ivan Dorn pushed her to a leap, in fact the discoverer of the Ukrainian stage for Russian and world listeners.

In July 2016, DaKooka, sincerely believing in the idea that you can be popular with "free" music, released a mini-album "Very fun with my friends" with 4 tracks in Russian: "About friends", "If I was born, "Carcass" and "Lilac Killer Whale".

As a rule, unique performers broadcasting tracks in the genre of witch house, underground and so on to the world rarely aspire to television, but DaKooka in 2017 made an attempt to storm the show "Voice of the Country". At the "Blind Auditions" the girl performed the romance "I was driving home." Of the 4 jury members, only Potap turned to the timid voice, then he took the Ukrainian woman to the team.

Ekaterina had a chance to perform at one concert - the uncertain performance of “7 Seconds” by Yussu N'Dur at the “Knockouts” stage did not convince Potap to leave the girl in the team.
