American mixed martial arts fighter, former kickboxer, performing under the nickname Cowboy, is well known to MMA fans. In May 2019, Donald Cerrone took a new height - took the 4th position in the official UFC ranking in the lightweight category.

In the fall of 2010, the result of the merger of the UFC and WEC was the transfer of fighters, including Cerrone, to the UFC. In the first fight in the new status, Donald won a resounding victory over rival Paul Kelly, overcoming his suffocating reception from behind.
