Dmitry Pevtsov is a famous theater and film actor, singer and acting teacher. It seemed that the artist was born under a lucky star: all his undertakings end in success, eminent directors call him a universal actor who is subject to heroic and characteristic roles.

But few people know that Dmitry got to the theater by accident. As a young man, he came to support a friend in the entrance exams to a theater university. That incident turned the life of yesterday's high school graduate upside down.

Childhood and youth

Dmitry was born in Moscow into a sports family. Father Anatoly Ivanovich was an honored trainer of the USSR in pentathlon, mother Noemi Semyonovna worked as a sports doctor, while doing professional show jumping. Noemie Robert became the first president of the National Federation of Remedial Riding and Wheelchair Sports of Russia. Dmitry is half Jewish by nationality, although he himself never commented on this issue. In addition to him, the eldest son Sergei was also brought up in the family, who moved to the United States.

As a child, he played a lot of sports (karate and judo) and dreamed of becoming a sea captain. As Pevtsov recalls, he first sat on a horse at the age of 3, because his mother was a specialist in hippotherapy. In addition, he managed to try himself in figure skating, alpine skiing and swimming. Singers, while still small, loved risk and more than once rode on the steps of boxcars.

In his youth, Singers did not want to be an actor at all. Dmitry hoped to continue the family dynasty of athletes and enter the Faculty of Physical Education at the Pedagogical University. But the plans of the graduate were not given to come true, a month later he started working as a milling machine operator at the plant.

Later, the sports genes of the parents still made themselves felt. Since 2001, Dmitry Pevtsov has seriously taken a great interest in racing sports, the man has been participating in the Volkswagen Polo autocup competition as part of the Sport-Garage team, as well as in the RTCC racing championship in automobile circuit races as part of the RUS-LAN team.

Pevtsova was introduced to the acting profession by chance. His close friend persuaded the young man to submit documents to GITIS for the company. The singers agreed to support their comrade, but he failed in the exam, but Dima was enrolled in the 1st year.

Theater and cinema

After graduating from GITIS, the young Singers, according to distribution, entered the service in the acting troupe of the famous Taganka Theater. Vladimir Vysotsky played here at one time. In this theater, Singers was involved in the production of "Phaedra" by the scandalous director Roman Viktyuk (in this performance the actor played several roles at once), and also brilliantly revealed the character of the smashed thief Vaska Ash in the play "At the Bottom", staged by Anatoly Efros based on the play of the same name by Maxim Gorky ...

The creative biography of Dmitry Pevtsov in cinema began in 1986. He got the cameo role of Jim in the last film by Tatiana Lioznova, the detective "The End of the World, followed by a symposium." This picture was shown on television only once and did not bring popularity. 4 years later, Singers played 2 star roles. The character of Savely Govorkov in the action-packed action movie "Nicknamed the Beast" made him famous among the Russian public, and the psychologically difficult role of Yakov Somov in the drama "Mother" by Gleb Panfilov brought Pevtsov the Felix European Film Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

1991, when the Soviet Union collapsed, was marked for the young actor by the change of theater. Pevtsov was invited to work at Lenkom, where he plays to this day.

Among the performances in which the Singers played, first of all, one can note the dream of any actor - the role of Hamlet in the immortal play of the same name by William Shakespeare, staged by Gleb Panfilov. Also, the artist played the role of Treplev in Chekhov's The Seagull and played Rezanov in the scandalous rock opera Juno and Avos. This was followed by vivid images of Figaro in "A Mad Day, or The Marriage of Figaro" by Beaumarchais and Chichikov in the production of "The Mystification".

Dmitry Pevtsov, due to effective external data and well-delivered vocals, became in demand among directors of musicals. In addition to the famous "Juno and Avos", he appeared in the first Russian musical "Metro", as well as in the production of "Eastwick Witches".

The actor has often and successfully starred in popular Russian television series, including "Queen Margot", "Countess de Monsoreau" and the legendary "Gangster Petersburg". Also, one cannot fail to note his work in 2 seasons of the reference service melodrama "Stop on Demand" and in the spy series "Death of an Empire".

Of the full-length films, the actor starred in "Turkish Gambit" - a vivid film adaptation of the work of the same name by Boris Akunin. The gallant hussar Zurov looked brilliant in his performance, and his remark "what a bellevue, madam" became a household name.

In 2007, Dmitry Pevtsov was assigned to the Order of Honor, and in 2013 he was awarded the Order of Merit to the Fatherland, IV degree.

Love for music, good vocals and surname (as the artist jokes) led Dmitry to the idea of his own musical project. In 2004, he released a collection of songs of his performance, and in 2009, together with the singer Zara, he took 2nd place in the Two Stars music competition.

Since 2010, Pevtsov began giving performances with the program "There are many singers, there are only one", where he performed either himself or with the support of the KarTush collective of Andrey Vertuzaev. For several years, the number of solo concerts of the artist in Russia and the CIS countries has exceeded a hundred.

In 2014, the actor took part in the filming of the 1st and a year later the 2nd seasons of the post-apocalyptic telenovela Ship, which is an adaptation of the famous Spanish TV series The Ark. Singers are the leading star of the series. His character, the ship's captain Viktor Gromov, combines unconditional masculinity and touching care for daughters Alena and Lera, who lost their mother early.

In the same year, the artist presented another heroic image to the audience. He played the main role in the action movie "Internal Investigation".

In 2017, the premiere of the melodrama "About Love" by Vladimir Bortko took place, in which Pevtsov's hero became a member of the love triangle. A banal situation led to a drama - a young man needs to cover a debt to a bank. His wife is trying to resolve the conflict on her own and seeks a meeting with the director of a financial institution. Together with Dmitry, Anna Chipovskaya and Alexey Chadov played the main roles.

TV projects

The actor has become a welcome guest not only for film projects, but also for various programs. In the early 2000s, Dmitry Pevtsov took part in the second season of the Last Hero project as a host. The reality show was filmed in Malaysia, the winner received a prize of 3 million rubles.

In 2015, he took part in the first edition of the circus show "Without Insurance", but left the project. The artist himself had enough sports training for risky performances (with an increase of 185 cm, Pevtsov's weight, thanks to regular training, does not exceed 80 kg), but Dmitry was unpleasantly surprised by the unprofessionalism of the show organizers.

The singers pointed out that there was no doctor on the site, there was constant confusion, and inexperienced stars began to perform dangerous tricks immediately at a height higher than human height.

In 2016, Dmitry starred in a new video for advertising MTS. The video was dedicated to the review of the company's new mobile application. Repeatedly the actor became the hero of popular programs, such as "My Hero" by Tatiana Ustinova, "Evening Urgant" by Ivan Urgant, "Life Line".

Personal life

Even while studying at GITIS, Dmitry lived in a civil marriage with fellow student Larisa Blazhko, who in 1990 gave birth to a son, Daniel. After a short time, the lovers parted, and Blazhko immigrated to Canada. The couple maintained friendly relations, Singers took an active part in the fate of his son Daniel, helping him at the beginning of his acting career.

In 1991, during the filming of "Walking the Scaffold", the actor began an affair with his partner on the set, actress of the Sovremennik Theater Olga Drozdova. After 3 years, young people legalized their relationship. Since then, a man's personal life is firmly connected with only one woman - his wife Olga.

In 2002, news appeared in all media that the actors had divorced. These rumors turned out to be a lie, which was denied by both family friends and the Lenkom actors. But the journalists still found reasons to suspect that something was wrong in Pevtsov's family. Dmitry and Olga quarreled noisily, not hesitating to do it in public and on the set. While working on the series "Stop on Demand-2" husband and wife did not come together and demanded separate dressing rooms. The entire film crew tried to reconcile the spouses. But the noisy scandals of Pevtsov and Drozdova never led to discord, and even more so to divorce.

The couple had no children together for a long time, but in 2007 a son was born, who was named Elisha. Spouses appear together everywhere and participate in each other's lives as much as possible.

In 2012, a tragedy occurred: the actor's son died from his first marriage. As a result of the accident, Daniil Pevtsov fell out of the third floor window, all the efforts of the doctors were in vain, Pevtsov's son died in intensive care. An accident happened to a young man at a meeting with classmates, which gave rise to many rumors about the cause of death.

Evil tongues argued that Daniel fell out of the window not by accident, but because of the abuse of alcohol or illegal drugs. But friends and colleagues of the young actor furiously denied these rumors, according to them, Daniel was a positive guy and had no bad habits.

Due to the wave of slander and rumors, Dmitry Pevtsov decided to hide his son's funeral from prying eyes. The guards did not allow journalists to attend the ceremony and promised to smash the cameras to persistent members of the press. Only friends and relatives of the deceased gathered at the Troekurovsky cemetery. Admirers of Pevtsov Jr.'s work were able to get there only after the ceremony. The young actor's admirers still look after his grave and regularly bring fresh flowers.

In 2016, a wave of articles about the divorce of the star couple rose again, and it was again refuted by the administration of the theater where the actors work. Now Dmitry and Olga are together and do not plan to part in the near future. The actor covers his life in detail on his Instagram page. Here is a place for joint photos with family and colleagues, funny posts and announcements of upcoming performances or concerts with Pevtsov's participation.
