Dmitry Artyukhov is a Russian politician, today he is the governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. He took office in early September 2018. In the history of modern Russia, a man became the youngest senior official of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation.

In 2009, at the age of 20, Dmitry successfully graduated from the International Institute of Finance, Management and Business at the State University of Tyumen. Kobylkin appreciated the productive work of the young politician, therefore, at the age of 28, Artyukhov was appointed deputy governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, who later focused on solving issues of economic development.

As Deputy Governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, which the young man joined in 2016, Artyukhov worked not only with Asian partners, he also participated in the preparation of global federal projects taking place in the district. He negotiated and worked out the launch of the construction of the Northern Latitudinal Passage.

As the former governor noted, Dmitry Andreevich is successful in negotiations with young officials engaged in the spheres of economic development and transport, therefore, more than once he considered a man as a successor. Kobylkin also noted that after working with Artyukhov for 8 years, he became convinced of the high qualifications and excellent performance of the young politician.

In May 2018, Artyukhov became the interim governor of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug instead of Dmitry Kobylkin, and on September 9, on the Single Election Day, he was elected governor of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. On the same day, the young politician took office. The solemn ceremony took place in the hall of the cultural and business center of the city of Salekhard and ended with a festive concert, as reported on the official website of the United Russia party.
