Hello, I have had a disc herniation for 4 years, so far I have been able to do conservative treatment and gymnastics. The last crisis lasted 10 months and nothing conservative helped. I have been operated on for 10 days now. The situation is much better, I still have pain, but they are nothing compared to not being able to walk, to put on your socks, to get up after sitting down.

Take your time, you'll be fine. It is normal to have some pain after surgery and then for a few more months, but all with time.
