Didier Marouani is a French musician and composer, one of the first representatives of the genre of electronic music, who became the constant leader of the very popular "Space" group at one time. Later, the young man will record other vocal records - "Le Gagnant" and "Seul Dans la Ville", and will also become the author of the rock opera "Le Reve de Mai", dedicated to the decade of the 1968 French protests.

Didier's collaboration with Roland Romanelli and Yannick Top brought worldwide fame. The three of them founded the legendary electronic group Space. The guys recorded the instant hit album “Magic Fly”, songs of which were written by Didier himself. A space-style video was shot for the song "Magic Fly". It peaked at number two on the UK Singles chart. In 1978 the composition was used as a theme song for Jackie Chan's film "Snake in the Eagle's Shadow".

Didier returned to his solo career, but did not perform under his own name, but as a member of the Paris-France-Transit project and even released an album of the same name. Then he recorded "Années Laser", and after winning the right to use the name "Space" under the name "Didier Marouani and Space" in court, he created the unusual space opera "Space Opera". Initially, the musician conceived a whole series of discs in this vein, but since only fans from the USSR showed interest in this work, Didier Marouani's album had no commercial success, and the composer abandoned this idea. By the way, a copy of "Space Opera" was brought by Soviet cosmonauts to the station "Mir".

For more than a decade, Marouani focused on concert activities and wrote music for other artists. In addition, Didier became the first foreign artist who performed not only on Moscow's Red Square, but also gave a concert in the previously closed Sevastopol. Didier Marouani's new album "Symphonic Space Dream" was released only at the beginning of the XXI century. In this work, the musician fulfilled a dream and combined electronic music with the sound of a symphony orchestra. During the recording, the French pianist had the opportunity to collaborate with more than 150 musicians of the St. Petersburg Symphony Orchestra.

In 2015, the artist visited Northern Palmyra and supported the project of the performer Yevgenia Laguna aimed at helping orphans.
