The biography of the future artist began in the city of Zarechny, Sverdlovsk region, where he was born in the summer of 1971. The singer's real name is Denis Malygin, and Mafik is a collective image of a guy from a courtyard company. From childhood, the boy gravitated towards music, composed lyrics from school, his father noticed this in time and tried to enroll his son in a music school.

But he flatly refused to go there, instead preferring to spend time with friends, in a courtyard party. So he independently learned to play the guitar, and after listening to songs by Alexander Rosenbaum, Willie Tokarev and Alexander Novikov, he decided to compose something of his own.

Mafik was not serious about his studies, he often skipped, so immediately after the 8th grade he entered the Zarechensky technical school of nuclear energy. There he continued his hobby, then he recorded the first songs, which have not survived to this day. Having received the recognition of his friends, he wanted to speak to the general public, but the next 2 years of military service did not allow the young man to realize this right away.

An important role in the artist's musical career was played by his friend Dmitry, acting under the pseudonym Mac. Being an energetic and punchy man, he invited the artist to make his own CD collection with the best and most recognizable songs, replicate it up to 500 pieces and distribute it to people. One of the discs got on "Russian chanson" and the singer was invited to Moscow. So the musician began working on his first studio album.

The disc titled "Chiki-moni" was released in the summer of 2005. Then Mafik still continued to live in his hometown, and only visited the capital for periods - at the studio, photo shoots and concerts. During such visits, he repeatedly came across popular chansonniers, from whom he gained experience.

In 2006, the musician's discography was replenished again, this time with the disc "Birds", its main hits were "Tour", "Rain and Snow" and "Chansonnier". Then every year the man presents new works to the fans, in 2007 it was the album "Shito-Kryto", in 2008 - "Hochuha", and in 2009 - "Angel". In 2013, the listeners enjoyed songs from the "Boy's Style" disc, in 2014 they appreciated the musician's efforts on the "AUE" disc.

In 2015, the artist presented the fans with a disc called "Hello to thieves." Not all songs were recorded solo, he sang the track "Magadan" together with the leader and vocalist of the "Announce" group, Alexander Kasimov. The man did not break his head for a long time with the title for the 2016 album, simply designating it as "Tenth". He recorded the song "Green" with Irina Kogan, "The Hooligan and the Princess" - with Rina Svoy, and "Fast and Furious" with the previously mentioned Kasimov.

The 11th album "Goldfish" became for the musician rather a joint project. There are only 5 Mafik's solo songs, but the tracks recorded with other chansonniers - 7. But the 2018 disc "Outlawed Love" became completely solo for the artist. A little later he recorded a joint track with the Antirespect group - Black Glasses. The man also had a lot of clips, including the tracks "Autumn", "Shmonay", "Winter", "Until the morning" and others.
