Biography
Dean-Charles Chapman began his career in theater, with the title role in the musical Billy Elliot, adapted from the film released in 2000, and directed by Stephen Daldry.
His first steps on television were in 2007 in Fun Song Factory , a British program aimed at children, then in Man Up, a sitcom broadcast on the American channel ABC. Later, he slips into the shoes of Stanley, a brilliant child very curious and fascinated by science, in the comedy The Revolting World of Stanley Brown, produced by CBBC. At 15, the teenager is Richard Gray, younger son of Queen Elisabeth Woodville, in the period drama The White Queen.
2014 marks a turning point. Indeed, the director Rowan Joffé offers him a place on the set of his psychological thriller Before going to sleep. He becomes Adam, whose mother, played by Nicole Kidman, wakes up with amnesia following an accident. The same year, the British team of the mini-series Glue welcomed him to the cast of the first season, alongside Faye Marsay, also present on the set of The White Queen .
It is by becoming Tommen Baratheon, in the already cult HBO series, Game of Thrones, that Dean-Charles is propelled into the limelight. Introduced from season 3, he plays the youngest son of Cersei Lannister, second in line for the throne of Westeros, and little brother of Joffrey.
