Dayana was waiting for a real breakthrough in a year. A series of her successes began with the International Pop Song Contest "The Path to Success", where she became a 1st degree diploma winner in the "World Hit" nomination. After that, she already goes to Moscow alone and performs solo in the semifinals of "Children's New Wave - 2012".

In 2012, Kirillova became famous all over the country after she decided to perform at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2012. True, then her plans were not destined to come true. At the national qualifying round, the girl performed the composition "5 minutes before class", but did not get just a couple of points, and therefore the country that year was represented at the competition by Valeria Engalycheva. Then Dayana faced another loss at the "Slavianski Bazaar".

Two defeats in a row at major vocal competitions did not break Kirillova, on the contrary, it gave her the strength to fight. And already in 2013, she managed to get to the annual international festival "Slavianski Bazaar" and take 3rd place, sharing it with the Ukrainian Galina Dubok. Almost without rest, she again decided to try her hand at Eurovision. This time she managed to bypass all applicants from Russia. In the autumn of the same year, in Kiev, she performed the song "Dream" in English, which she co-wrote with a Moscow composer.

In total, Kirillova scored 106 points, this amount allowed her to take only 4th place. Prize-winning places went to artists from Malta, Ukraine and Belarus.
