Biography
David Boreanaz first predestined himself for a sports career in American football, before a serious knee injury led him to retrain. A film graduate from Ithaca College in New York, he became a props designer for the theater, but it was while walking his dog in the street that the young man stood out: he was offered a small role in the film. This experience pushes him to become an actor. David Boreanaz has a series of plays while living on odd jobs. The actor's consecration came in 1996, when he was chosen to play the dark vampire Angel from the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, with Sarah Michelle Gellar. He held this role during the first three seasons, then in 1999 became the hero of his own series, Angel.
After 5 years of good and loyal service, he swaps his vampire outfit for that of FBI special agent in the Bones series. Alongside his on-screen partner, Emily Deschanel, he investigates a series of unusual murders where only the bones will reveal the cause of death.
His television success allows the actor to turn more to the cinema. Thus, in 2001, David Boreanaz joined the cast of the horror film Mortelle St-Valentin alongside Denise Richards, and he appeared the following year in the romantic comedy Around Lucy, in which he was partnered with Monica Potter.
