Biography
Raised between San Francisco and Honolulu, Darren Criss developed an interest in music and the performing arts at a young age. From the age of 5, he began to take violin lessons before learning to play guitar, piano and drums on his own. After obtaining a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts from the University of Michigan, he took his first steps on television in an unnoticed musical series, Little White Lie , then joined the cast of the Mysteries of Eastwick for a few episodes.
The consecration comes in 2010 when the young man is chosen to push the song alongside Chris Colfer, Cory Monteith and Lea Michele in season 2 of Glee, the showRyan Murphy's musical event. He plays Blaine Anderson, captain of the "Warblers", a competing team of the "New Directions", who will quickly win the hearts of Kurt and the fans since he will be promoted to regular the following year. When the series comes to an end, the actor goes on to play small roles and notably appears in a crossover episode of Supergirl and The Flash , in the skin of the "Music Master", before making a short stay at the Hotel Cortes in season 5 from American Horror Story.
In 2018, Darren Criss collaborates for a third time with Ryan Murphy in the second installment of American Crime Story where he lends his features to Andrew Cunanan, famous serial killer who murdered Gianni Versace in the 90s.Golden Globes and an Emmy Award in the "Best Actor in a Miniseries" category.
