Literature

Chuck Palahniuk's biography is eventful. He began writing books at 35. The first work "Insomnia: If You Lived Here, You Were At Home Already" remained unpublished. It was followed by the novel "Invisibles". The editor refused to publish the novel, calling it too reactionary. Chuck got angry and wrote something quite aggressive. Named the work "Fight Club". The novel tells the story of a meeting between a bored clerk and a soap seller Tyler Darden. Darden reveals to the hero his world, built on the philosophy of self-destruction.

The editor, surprisingly, liked the novel. The first story version of Fight Club was published by Pursuit of Happiness magazine. The novel drew positive reviews from the public. However, the hype quickly ended. The film adaptation by the 20th Century Fox film company brought real popularity to the novel. Popular actors Brad Pitt, Edward Norton, Helena Bonham Carter, Jared Leto played in the movie "Fight Club" directed by David Fincher. After the release of the picture in 1999, Chuck Palahniuk's book "Fight Club" was reprinted three times.

In 2002, Chuck Palahniuk's novel "Lullaby" was released. The motive for the creation of "Lullaby" was the story of the tragic death of his father at the hands of a rapist who was released from prison. In 2003, the surrealistic novels "Diary" and "More Fantastic than Fiction" were published. Traveling with promotions of new novels, the author presented the audience with the shocking story "Guts", during the reading of which the audience fainted. In 2011, a scandal erupted in Turkey - the authorities accused the publisher of "Snuff" of publishing a publication that was contrary to the moral standards of Turkish society. In 2009 the novel "Pygmy" was published. The book tells the story of a 13-year-old teenager who came from a totalitarian country to an American state as part of a student exchange. The idea of creation was inspired by the experiences associated with the death of the mother. The novel tells about the adventures of thirteen-year-old Madison after an unexpected death and going to hell. While in hell, the girl learns that the script for life was written by Lucifer. The Damned book has received positive reviews from critics and the public.

In 2013, the Doomed novel was published, which became a sequel to The Damned. In it, the author returns Madison from Hell to Earth in the form of a ghost. Millions of people on Earth mistake the ghost of a wayward girl for the image of a new messiah. Like most of Palahniuk's novels, Doomed is full of profanity and violent scenes. 2014 is marked by the release of the novel "To the very ends". The novel drew a lot of criticism. In 2015, a collection of stories by Palahniuk was released, entitled "Compose Something." The collection includes stories from 2015. The author addresses the vices of modern society, makes fun of the "American Dream" with irony and cynicism.
