Chloe Ardelia Wofford

Toni Morrison is a US writer whose bibliography includes several novels, short stories, plays and fairy tales. She taught at Princeton University and won the Nobel Prize. The writer was active in social and political activities, defending the interests of African Americans.

Published in 1977, the novel Song of Solomon is the story of the spiritual journey of a hero who gets to know his family. The book received the highest literary prizes, and the folklore leitmotif that was present in it found its continuation in the 1981 work "The Resin Scarecrow".

In 1987, the essay "Beloved" was published, which became a laureate of the Pulitzer and Nobel Prizes in literature. The work is based on real events, and the title theme of the narrative was slavery.
