Biography
A graduate of the University of Bologna, Chiara Caselli also made her stage debut in her hometown with the Teatro Stabile di Bolazo theater company. At 20, she obtained her first real film role in Le Secret, for which in 1990 she won a silver medal at the Festival de Saint-Vincent.
Noticed by the French director Gérard Corbiau, she crossed the Alps to play in L 'Annee de l'eveil in 1991, then it was the Pacific that she had to cross to shoot under the direction of Gus Van Sant in My Own Private Idaho (1991). His international career is launched.
In 1993, she played in quick succession for Costa-Gavras (La Petite Apocalypse) and Paolo Taviani and Vittorio (Fiorile), before winning a Nastro argent, as well as a Grolla d'or, for her role in Dove siete. ? io sound which.
