Cherim Nakhushev - People's Artist of Kabardino-Balkaria, Karachay-Cherkessia, Adygea and Ingushetia, is called the first singer who managed to combine ethnic Circassian music with pop culture.

Cherim Nakhushev's creative biography began in 1990: the 20-year-old singer came to the recording studio of the Nalchik TV and radio company at the invitation of the editor with his friend Timur Losanov. In 1996 Cherim Nakhushev presented his debut album, recorded in a Moscow studio. The CD-album "Nekhush Charim" is the first in the history of the Adyghe people. It organically intertwined folk songs and modern pop music. At the premiere of the disc, the President of Kabardino-Balkaria Valery Kokov called the work of Cherim Nakhushev "an outstanding phenomenon for our people."

In the same year, the artist received a diploma at the first open pop competition "Antre-96", which took place in St. Petersburg.

From 1995 to 1999 Cherim Nakhushev took part in the music festival “Song of the Year of Kabardino-Balkaria”, where he was awarded diplomas for the first places.
