Biography
A native of Richmond, Virginia, Chad L. Coleman began his career in 1985 as a cameraman in the service of the United States Army. A risky job that taught him, until 1989, to adapt to the country in which he films and to survive in a conflict zone. This experience will be more than useful to him when he passes in front of the camera.
In 1993, the small screen opened its doors to him, calling on him for small appearances in detective series such as New York District / New York Police Judiciaire, New York 911 or even New York Special Unit.
But it was in 2006, in the third season of the cult HBO series On Listening, that he became more famous. His physicality of athletic resistant to any test serves him for his character of Dennis "Cutty" Wise, an ex-con, who seeks to redeem himself a conduct by teaching boxing to young people of the difficult districts of Baltimore. His character is carried over into the fourth and fifth seasons of the series.
After a quick stint in the cinema, notably in 2011 with Michel Gondry in the zany superhero film The Green Hornet (2011) and in the comedy by Seth Gordon How to kill his Boss?, He joined the AMC series The Walking Dead at half of season 3. There he plays Tyreese, a key comic book character, former professional soccer player still wielding a hammer, who joins Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) party in the fight against zombies .
