Representatives of the power metal scene - Florida-based band Kamelot - have become famous for their successful albums and megatura cities. The musicians presented their new songs on the platform of the official website, as well as on the social networks VKontakte, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.

The history of the creation of the American group began thanks to Thomas Youngblood, who at the age of 15 acquired the first instrument. After the death of his father, the gifted schoolboy moved from Virginia to Florida, dreaming of becoming a famous musician and conquering the cultural world.

Regular performing practice in non-professional rock bands contributed to the development of a sense of rhythm and skills of virtuoso playing. Composing immature compositions that were liked by advanced peers, the novice metal player got rid of the feeling of loss and blues.

In mid-1991, Thomas met Richard Warner, who, as a drummer, was looking for like-minded people. The guys joined forces and started joint rehearsals to bring dozens of creative ideas into reality.

Over time, the duo's lineup expanded - Mark Vanderbilt and Sean Tibbets became an integral part of the project, called Kamelot. By choosing metal and alternative as their foundational styles, the members shared responsibilities in a world of long-studied notes.

In the mid-1990s, the team changed: Roy Khan became the new vocalist and creator of dozens of hits. The founder enlisted the support of a number of instrumentalists and achieved a unique sound.

Now in Kamelot, the Swede Tommy Karevik is a full-fledged soloist, and Thomas Youngblood, a permanent member, supports his colleague in everything. Metalists Sean Tibbets, Alex Landenburg and Oliver Palotai do their best to keep fans uplifted.

Kamelot's career started in mid-1988 when the guys released the song Breaking The Silence for the Florida cassette hits. Then came semi-professional studio demos that made young metalheads prominent members of alternative circles.

In the 90s, the group presented two full-length albums, the success of the singles with Eternity and Dominion allowed them to tour the country. Performing the compositions of Red Sands and Black Tower from the stage of American clubs, the musicians tried to please a large, diverse crowd.

After the release of Siége Perilous, Kamelot became famous, and Noise Records managers helped organize a European tour. Thanks to outstanding vocals and experimentation with arrangements, the tracks, which are a mixture of genres, were liked by representatives of different cultures.

At the base, located in Tampa, the album The Fourth Legacy was recorded, then a concert collection containing a dozen hits appeared. The music presented at performances in Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands has absorbed almost all the features of the alternative of the 90s.

In the 2000s, the American metal band interpreted the legend of Faust, The Black Halo and Epica discs had a vivid visual sequence. A warm welcome at the Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium was the highest possible award for Florida residents.

Inspired by the success of the concept albums, the team took up musical classics, and the outstanding record Ghost Opera became the pinnacle of their skill. The compositions The Human Stain, Up Through the Ashes and Eden Echo became cult music in the USA thanks to the gothic videos.

After the European tour, a reissue of the disc was released, it was presented at such festivals as Sonisphere and Rock am Ring. At a joint concert with Iron Maiden, the musicians intrigued fans with the message that singer Simone Simons would appear in the company of men.

In the early 2010s, the group slowed down the pace of studio work, the musicians carefully prepared the ninth full-length album as never before. The songs included in Poetry for the Poisoned, thanks to Roy Khan's vocals, were imbued with tension, illustrating the struggle between good and evil.

The record, which hit the Billboard 200, was promoted during a world tour, which featured the backbone of the group and a number of guest singers. As headliner, Kamelot appeared at alternative festivals in America and Europe in the early 2010s.

During the tour, called Pandemonium, the world learned about a new vocalist - metalhead Tommy Karevik participated in the recording of the disc Silverthorn. To the delight of loyal fans, the group gave concerts in Moscow and St. Petersburg, and then released another studio album.

The change of leader was reflected in a release called Haven. The tour, which promoted the new songs, went on for a year and a half. In parallel with the organization of the show, the musicians thought about the next disc, in 2018 The Shadow Theory finally appeared.

In the US charts, The Mission and Burns to Embrace hit the top ten, pushing the authors to the peak. Critics and fans alike noted the professional arrangements, intersections with classical melodies, and metaphorical language.

In the Amazon Hard Rock & Metal rating, the album took 1st place, the positions of the musicians were strengthened by the videos Mindfall Remedy and Amnesiac. Hundreds of fans who came to concerts in cities in Japan and Australia dressed up in branded T-shirts and held a corporate flag.

The successful completion of the discography allowed Kamelot to return to Europe. The band organized concerts with support from the Sonata Arctica and Battle Beast teams. In honor of the 30th anniversary, scheduled for 2021, the musicians promised listeners to release a new full-fledged release.
