World famous mixed martial arts (MMA) heavyweight fighter, twice UFC champion in his weight category, holder of a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and a number of honorary awards. The Mexican American became famous for his incredible endurance and original wrestling technique, thanks to which he defeated such eminent rivals as Junior Dos Santos, Brock Lesnar, Antonio Silva and others.

Kane Ramirez Velazquez was born on July 28, 1982 in Salinas, California. The father of the future fighter, Efrain Velasquez, immigrated to the United States from the Mexican state of Sinaloa, known for the location of the country's largest drug cartel. Mother Isabel Velazquez is a California native, originally from the city of Fresno.

Kane grew up in Yuma with his sister Adela and a younger brother named Efrain Jr. Here in Arizona, my parents worked in vegetable plantations, harvesting lettuce. The children helped them as much as they could. Even then, seeing how hard it was for his parents to earn money, Kane realized that he had to strive for a different, better life.

On December 29, 2012, Dos Santos and Velazquez again grabbed the championship belt. Kane entered the octagon in good shape and began to dominate from the first minutes. But Dos Santos held out for five rounds before finally giving up. The fight ended with Kane's triumphant victory and the title was returned. A year later, in 2013, Dos Santos made another attempt to regain the belt, but again lost to the titled Mexican.

2012-2013 - the peak of Velazquez's fighting career. Inspired by his success, he even got a Gothic-style "Brown Pride" tattoo on his chest.

Velasquez spent a year recovering from defeat and injuries, entered the octagon in the summer of 2016, defeating American Travis Brown.
