Hello, I am 15 and I want to ask is it true that everyone who is involved in boxing suffers from severe brain damage and even frequent deaths? As far as I read in American forums, some doctors talked about boxers where the names can not be said with 75% brain damage and that almost every third boxer dies from a cerebral hemorrhage. Is it true? I ask because I want to train boxing and I have been training for 1 year now and if this is true maybe I should stop I still want to have minimal brain activity (to be able to say my name)

Not for now, but at a later stage you will have a lot of health problems, Parkinson's mostly. My advice is to change the discipline - I would recommend taekwondo or aikido, and if you are from Sofia Krav Maga or Filipino Kali. Wing Chun is also a very good martial art
