Biography
After attending the National Youth Music Theater in London as a teenager, Ben Barnes studied theater and English literature at Kingston University. He then multiplied his experiences on the stage and developed a certain talent for music, representing the United Kingdom at Eurovision 2004 accompanied by his group, Hyrise .
Barnes made his television debut in 2006 in the British series Doctors and in the drama Split Decision, before obtaining a first small role in the cinema in 2007 in the fantasy adventure Stardust, the mystery of the star of Matthew Vaughn, alongside Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer. The same year, the young actor goes to the top of the poster for his next film, the drama Bigga Than Ben in which he plays a Russian mobster who immigrated to London.
But it was in 2008 that Ben Barnes forged world fame by returning to the fantastic to interpret the legendary Prince Caspian in the second installment of The Chronicles of Narnia. The following year, he played the role of Jessica Biel and Kristin Scott Thomas in the romantic comedy A Dream Wedding and played the title role in the fantasy drama Le Portrait de Dorian Gray (unseen in French cinemas).
In 2010, after a new trip to Narnia as Prince Caspian for the purposes of The Dawn Treader Odyssey, Ben Barnes, varying the pleasures, looks back on the debut of the rock group U2 for the biopic Killing Bono, and plays the broken fathers in the drama Locked In.
