Even five or ten years ago, only fans of the genre and those who watched the film with Eminem "8 Mile" knew about such a phenomenon as battle rap. Today, each battle is a real media event, attracting the attention of millions of people of different age, gender, nationality and social status. The videos with battles are commented on by politicians, they are talking about it on TV. It is not surprising that the participants in these events become idols of young people. American battle rapper Disaster is one of those.

Bashir Yagami (that's actually the rapper's name) was born on June 29, 1984. It happened in the south of California in the city of Los Angeles. Bashir's family has Lebanese roots, which Yagami himself regularly recalls.

Bashir often skipped school, and in the end he dropped out altogether. Instead, he worked occasionally and went out with friends. Then he began to take his first steps in rap. In order to have enough to live and record his tracks in the studio, he got a job as a taxi driver, having previously passed exams to obtain a license.

As the rapper himself declares, music changed his life, for which he is grateful to her. Bashir recorded his first tracks at the age of sixteen. Then the nickname Dizaster appeared - a distorted spelling of the English word "disaster". The choice of such a creative pseudonym was simply argued - because of his Arab appearance, the guy was often called a terrorist, which he decided to use for his own purposes.

The first serious performances of Disaster took place in 2006 - then the twenty-two-year-old Bashir took part in battles held in the Basement music store. Later, these activities were called Basementality ("Basic knowledge" or "Foundation of the foundations"). In addition to Basementality, Disaster took part in the battles of Grind Time Now, URL, Real Talk, Don`t Flop Entertainment and other venues.

In 2006, Dizaster took part in battles against NoCanDo and DumbFounDead. The following year was marked by a confrontation with a rapper calling himself Taz ("Tasmanian Devil"). In 2008, The Saurus came out against Bashir. 2009 was a busy year for Disaster - his opponents were Revers Live, Illmaculate, Everybody Knows, Locksmith, Pumpkinhead, Surgean General, Mr ET and Organik. A year later, Yagami faced Vision, Monk McNasty and A-class.

In 2011, a significant event took place - Dizaster fought with Eric St. John's, better known as DNA - the king of battle rap. By the way, this battle was judged by Drake himself. In 2012, Bashir fights Iron Solomon and Canibus. Having beaten Canibus, Disaster becomes the champion of the Canadian battleground King of the dot (KOTD). The following year, Arcane took this title from him (2013 was unsuccessful in his career as a rapper).

В 2015 году батл Мирона Федорова (настоящее имя Oxxxymiron`а) и Johnyboy`я за один день набрал более миллиона просмотров на YouTube, тем самым поставив рекорд в мировой истории рэп-батлов. 

Это был серьезный инфоповод, о котором узнали заокеанские коллеги. Дизастер понял, что Мирон – сын физика-теоретика и библиотекарши, - тот, кто ему нужен в качестве оппонента. Вызов был брошен. Оксимирон вызов принял.

Длительное время никаких подробностей о встрече Дизастера и Оксимирона не было, однако это не мешало новости об их противостоянии не покидать тематические паблики социальных сетей. Батлы Мирона Федорова против ST и Гнойного только подогревали интерес публики.

Bashir made no less “warm-up”, expressing some thoughts about Oksimiron and Gnoin during an interview for the “New Rap” public. By the way, Yagami himself by this time had time to oppose Marv Won, Skolar and Dwisofoz.

In early autumn, the exact date and venue of the battle between the performers Dizaster and Oxxxymiron became known: October 15, Los Angeles, Los Globos club on Sunset Boulevard. The event was organized by the King of the dot battle platform. The rights to the live broadcast are also owned only by KOTD (the Russian site "Versus" will later show a video with Russian subtitles).

Preparations are in full swing - Disaster even approached the creation of a video announcement in a creative way, in which he advises the opponent to prepare for serious difficulties.

Disaster does not have a permanent girlfriend. 

In addition to preparing for the transatlantic battle, which is already considered a cult event in world history, Disaster is involved in the filming of Joseph Kahn's film "The Bodied".

This is the first artistic embodiment of the history of the formation of battle culture. The tape was produced by Eminem and Dr. Dre.
