But there is an exception to any rule - the biography of Jah Khalib is a clear confirmation of this.

Bakhtiyar Mamedov was born (this is actually the name of the performer) on September 29, 1993. It happened in Kazakhstan, in a family of immigrants from Azerbaijan. From an early age, his parents instilled in Bakhtiyar a love of good music and cinema, which later strongly influenced the work of the performer.

In 2000, the boy went to school with a linguistic bias (in-depth study of English), where he met those who would later be included in the first musical group of Mamedov. In 2005, his parents send Bakhtiyar to the Alma-Ata music school to learn to play the saxophone. At first, this idea did not please the boy, but over time he realized that knowledge of the basics of music would be useful to him in the future.

The decision was correct - a year later, together with Bach's friends, he gets hooked on American rap (in particular, on the work of the Onyx group and rapper DMX), and then decides to set up his own home recording studio. The first tracks by Jah Khalib will be recorded on it, which will, of course, be about love.

However, Mamedov seriously decides to take up music only after five years. The matured Bakhtiyar decides to continue his musical education and enters the Kazakhstan National Conservatory at the Department of Composition and Art Management. At the same time, Bach took his first steps in the field of sound production and writing instrumental.

His work favorably differed from what most self-taught beatmakers did, so the issue of fame in the right circles was a matter of time. A couple of years later, Mamedov already worked with Kazakhstani rappers of the first magnitude. Then the thought arises to resume rapping. For this, Bakhtiyar chooses a stage name for himself, by which everyone knows him today - Jah Khalib. The first major breakthrough is the track "Let's Fly away", which hit radio rotation in 2013.

Social networks, in particular, VKontakte, played a large role in Mammadov's fame, but this would not have happened if Bakhtiyar's songs were not really good. According to the performer himself, his main task is to convey the necessary emotions to the listeners through his songs. And he does it.

Starting with the first tracks, such as "Your sleepy eyes", "On parallel paths", "You are near", "Everything that we love", "You are like the whole Universe", as well as "Burning to ashes", Mamedov breaks through to the first lines of charts first in Kazakhstan, and after - in Russia, Ukraine and Belarus. The number of posts on VKontakte with his songs and quotes from them is growing exponentially.

Thanks to this, Jah Khalib appeared several times in the Kazakh edition of the Forbes magazine - in 2015 and 2016 the albums KHALIBanija Dushi and Everything We Love were mentioned. The first serious touring tours and the first performances at corporate parties begin.

In 2016, another album was released, which became a hit from the very first days of release - "If Th, I'm Bach", and the tracks "Angel Constellation", "Torn Dress", "Your Devils' Favorite", "Give Me", "Until the Moon" and Tattoos on Your Body are the top downloads from iTunes. In the same year, there are "joint" with various performers, including Mot, L`One, Roma Bestseller, Kravts, Dzhigan and the Caspian Gruz group.

In 2017, Mamedov received the "Golden Plate" of Muz-TV in the category "Breakthrough of the Year". Bakhtiyar himself is ambivalent about this event, but admits that for his older listeners this award is a sign of quality. Like most beatmakers, it is difficult for Bakhtiyar Mamedov to unequivocally answer the question: "What kind of music do you like?" With this profession, you have to pass through yourself a lot of diverse songs and compositions.

Nevertheless, in one of his last interviews ("VDud" for August 15, 2017) Jah Khalib named some of the composers and performers who influenced his work: Raymond Pauls and Muslim Magomayev, Igor Krutoy and Grigory Leps, James Brown and Ray Charles, Timbaland and Sting. By the way, Mamedov has a separate story with Sting - the melody from the Briton's "Desert Rose" was used as a reference track when writing the song "Leila", this is noticeable when listening to these compositions one by one.

Bakhtiyar Mamedov did not differ in affection for one girl. The musician argued that the weaker sex distracts from creative work, and this approach is not for Jah Khalib. Therefore, an ardent workaholic Bach appears at social events accompanied by beauties, whom he meets mainly on the social network Instagram.

However, after leaving for Islam (this happened in 2011), Mamedov often began to mention that he wanted to have children. When asked what to do with their mother so that she “does not distract from creative work,” the musician laughs it off - send back to his parents.

Bakhtiyar belongs to a rare breed of hardworking people. Now he is busy preparing for the release of a new album. The situation is somewhat complicated by the fact that most of the songs are joint projects with other performers, including Svetlana Loboda, Alexei Vorobyov, the duet MiyaGi and Endgame, and Basta. In addition to preparing a new album, work is underway with old material - clips are shot, concert after concert is played out, interviews are occasionally held (the last was given to Yuri Dudyu in mid-August 2017) and photo sessions. Bach also oversees the construction of a house for his parents, who promised them as a child, when the Mammadov family lost their home and were forced to move to grandfather's dacha.

Recently it became known about another project Jah Khalib, not related to music. The artist collects money for the construction of schools in the villages of Kazakhstan in order to raise the level of education in the country. According to Mamedov, many of Kazakhstan's talents are wasted because they did not receive the necessary education.
