Biography
American band Bad Religion, performing in the genre of punk rock, almost immediately after appearing on the stage gained its circle of listeners. The peak of popularity came in the 1990s and 2000s, when their songs and albums took the top spot in the charts. The music of the team is popular now, among fans as old fans, and those who have encountered her work only a couple of times.
fact
History of creation and composition
The original cast of Bad Religion was slightly different from the one the team is currently playing in. The history of creation began in 1980, when four musicians united and decided to record songs. The drums were J.J. Siscraut, Jay Bentley on bass, Brett Gurevich on guitar, and Greg Graffin as the lead singer. To create music and songs, Gurevich founded his own studio.

After the release of the debut EP and before the release of the first full-length album, Peter Feinstone took the place on the drums. And it was not the only replacement of the band members - after a while the team left the bass player and drummer, instead of them with the musicians began to perform other artists. And in 1984, Gurevich temporarily refused to perform together, leaving the band under the responsibility of Graffin, the only member of the original line-up. He had to do it because of his addiction to drugs, from which the man was treated.
After he returned, the composition of the team changed more than once. Now Greg Graffin is still on the vocals, and Gurevich is still on guitar and backing vocals. Jay Bentley was joined by guitarists Brian Baker and Mike Dimkic. In 2015, Jamie Miller took the place of drummer.

Music
Immediately after the unification, the musicians began recording songs. First they presented a mini-album. In 1982, the artists pleased the audience with their debut studio album, How Could Hell Be Any Worse?. Its release was successful, later the album began to be called the standard of hard rock punk.
Many punks were skeptical about the sound of the next Album Into the Unknown, as some songs featured a synthesizer, which is uncharacteristic of such music. But the new EP Back to the Known quickly restored fans' faith in the team's bright future. In the next three years, almost nothing was known about Bad Religion. And they re-announced themselves only in 1988, releasing the album Suffer. Its success was so great that soon the team to sign a contract was offered by a major label Atlantic Records.
Collaboration with the record company in 1994 gave Bad Religion fans a new album, Stranger Than Fiction. At the same time, the musicians attended world tours, performed and shot music videos. The next album did not achieve such success as the previous ones. But the release of the album No Substance (released in 1998) they marked a series of concerts in clubs.

In 2000, the discography of musicians is supplemented by a new album The New America, which was later recognized as their best work. The band recorded songs for him on a tourist-free island, along with producer Todd Rundgren, who also worked with other popular artists. Despite the high-profile success, Atlantic Records is discontinuing its work with Bad Religion. And then the team signs another contract, this time with Epitaph Records. In 2002, they released The Process of Belief on a new label.
For a couple of years the musicians worked at the same pace, once every 2-3 years presenting new discs to fans. Released in 2013, the album True North and filmed the title track of the same name, for a while the band disappeared from the sight of fans. At the same time, Bad Religion did not declare the suspension or disintegration of the team, just musicians for this period more immersed in concerts and other projects.

Bad Religion Now
The first information about recording songs for the new album after a long silence appeared in the winter of 2018. Graffin posted a photo of Gurevich on his Twitter account, and under him left a post about the record. In the summer of the same year, they released the first single in five years, The Kids Are Alt-Right, and in the fall another, The Profane Rights of Man. It became the 17th studio album.
