Arsen Petrosov

Arsen Petrosov is a Soviet and Russian pop singer, composer, songwriter, pop director, music producer, arranger and sound engineer based in Los Angeles (USA).

Arsen Leonovich Petrosov was born in 1975 in the city of Tashkent (Uzbekistan). The childhood and youth of the future star passed in a warm, creative atmosphere. From a young age, the head of the family instilled in all three children (the singer has two sisters: Angelina and Sandra) a love of art.

Arsen does not have an academic background in music, but he gained invaluable experience watching his father, who was not the last person in the music community.

Arsen's father was well prepared for the creation of the family team. Leon's musical career began back in 1962 in his hometown of Tashkent, where in 10 years he created a couple of groups playing jazz (Dixieland, Jazz Quartet, Pet-Saf, and VIA Express).

In the Soviet Union, on the basis of VIA "Express" in 1975, Leon Petrosov organized a concert variety show "Express-Review of Leon Petrosov", which was popular both in the USSR and abroad for twenty years.

The program included performances by ballet, stage, circus dancers, as well as famous musicians. Express-Revue became a concert venue for the first performances of Leon's children. Arsen, like his sisters, was captivated by music and everything connected with it. The guys wanted Leon to be proud of them, and did their best to one day stand on the stage next to an authoritative father.

Arsen's creative biography dates back to 1989, when he, along with the head of the family, writes lyrics and arrangements for songs.

In 1991, at the Song of the Year festival, Angelina Petrosova (Leon's daughter) presents to the public a new single called Tango on Ice. Arsen, as the author, is awarded the diploma of the laureate of the All-Union Song Festival.

Also, the songs of the Petrosovs sounded in famous TV and radio programs, such as "Morning Mail", "50/50", "Mayak". And in 1992, Arsen participated in Yuri Nikolaev's TV project "Morning Star".

In 1993, the Petrosov family moved to the United States. In New York, Arsene's father Leon creates the Leon Records studio (there is a similar studio in Tashkent), as well as a family group called Leon Petrosov's Express Band, where he and his children are soloists.

At the end of 1997, "Express Band" was invited to concerts in Los Angeles, after which the family moved to California. In the USA, Leon and Arsen released nine original albums.

In Russia, Petrosov became famous after the release of the song "Kaifuem", which, like all hits, was born in a creative tandem. Nobody made a bet on this song: neither Leon nor Arsen thought that it would "shoot". It is generally accepted that this song has become popular on the Internet. In fact, the performers have never posted their singles online.

The band released CDs and the fans did everything themselves. Fans of their creativity both in Russia and abroad published their favorite tracks on the pages of their social networks. By the beginning of 2012, the Express-Center Production company shot a video clip for the composition of Leon and Arsen Petrosov “Know you”. And right after that, a new video clip for Arsen's single "All That Was Superfluous" was released.

In November of the same year, the family took part in the gala concert of the Russian television festival "What People in Hollywood!" on the Best-TV channel (Los Angeles) and received the honorary award "Star of Russian Hollywood" for her contribution to the art of Russian-speaking America.

On December 24, 2013, Arsene released a cover of Oscar Benton's composition Bensonhurst Blues.

On December 14, 2014, in the State Kremlin Palace, Leon and Arsen Petrosov were awarded the prestigious international award "Consent", established by the Union of Armenians of Russia and the World Armenian Congress. The award was presented in the "Dynasty" nomination; Patrick Fiori, Helene Segara, Rosie Armen were also nominated, and Charles Aznavour, Joseph Kobzon and many other famous artists were the guests of the award.

On New Year's Eve from 2014 to 2015, Leon and Arsen Petrosov gave a concert performance in the prestigious Moscow concert hall “Barvikha Luxury Hall” on Rublevo-Uspenskoe highway.

Very little is known about the artist's personal life. Only once in 2013, on Andrey Malakhov's program “Let them talk,” Arsen introduced his wife Diana and son Leon to the public, who got his name in honor of his star grandfather.

According to the artist, the boy is already showing an interest in music and loves to be in the spotlight. Petrosov hopes that the child will continue the family business in the future and follow in his footsteps.
