Ukrainian singer Arsen Mirzoyan became famous in the near abroad after participating in the 1st season of the show "Voice of the Country" ("Voice of the Country"). Arsen Romanovich Mirzoyan was born on May 20, 1978 in Zaporozhye, Ukrainian SSR. Has Armenian roots. Little is known about the early period of the singer's biography. In 1995, after graduating from grade 10, Arsen graduated from school.

At that time, the former member states of the Soviet Union had not yet recovered from the collapse, therefore, in order to help the family overcome the economic crisis, the young man entered the "working" profession - an engineer in non-ferrous metallurgy at the Zaporozhye State Engineering Academy. Arsen received his diploma of higher education in 2000.

Immediately after graduating from university, Mirzoyan got a job at Motor Sich, an enterprise that developed and produced aircraft gas turbine engines for airplanes and helicopters. Having worked at this place for less than a year, Arsen, together with his fellow students, moved to Zaporizhstal LLC in the mechanical workshop of the plant. The young man stayed in production for a long time - until 2013 he worked as a section foreman.

The boy's craving for singing was awakened in his school years: Mirzoyan took part in concerts, composed poems, some of them formed the basis of future hits. However, Arsen did not seriously think about the career of an artist - perhaps because of the need to support his family, therefore he never received a professional musical education.

The young man realized his creative potential in jokes: in his institute years he participated in the KVN team. Later, in 2008, he tried his hand at the television project "Laughter Without Rules" (8th season) on the TNT channel. His duet together with Kirill Timchenko was named “Cyril and Methodius”. Comedians took 6th place.

In 1998, at the age of 20, friends invited Mirzoyan to the "yard" rock group, and then to "Totem", the Zaporozhye collective of Andrey Kuripko (pseudonym People). The composition of "Totem" was constantly changing, so in the end the ensemble became an independent project of Arsen and was named "Baburka".

The music recorded by "Baburka" fell in love with the people of Ukraine, the artists performed at the "Pearls of the Season" and "Chervona Ruta" festivals. At one of the events, Mirzoyan met with Alexander Polozhinsky, the leader of the Tartak rock group. The latter hosted the "Fresh Blood" program on the M1 TV channel, the main goal of which is to present young talents to listeners. Personal acquaintance allowed Baburka to get on the air.

In 2000, the musician's career was under threat: Arsen became deaf in his left ear, and 4 years later he completely lost his hearing. The intervention of doctors and prosthetics returned Mirzoyan's hearing enough to continue to engage in creativity.

2011 brought great success to Mirzoyan: he was among the participants in the vocal television show of Ukraine "Voice of the Country" on the "1 + 1" channel. At the casting, Arsen performed the song "I will not give up without a fight" by the group "Ocean Elzy". Honest performance, on a strain, surprised two members of the jury: Stas Piekha and Ruslana pressed the button "I choose you." The singer preferred the team of Stas Piekha.

At concerts Mirzoyan performed mainly with covers - "Save our souls!" Vladimir Vysotsky, "Don't Shoot" by the "DDT" group, "My Dear Old Men" by Igor Sarukhanov, but in the semifinals he performed the author's composition "Night". The soulful ballad did not help the participant to reach the last stage of the competition - he and Vladislav Sytnik left the show. The mentor found a way to support Arsen after the show. In 2013, Piekha and Mirzoyan performed together at Ukrainian venues in support of Stas's album "10". The musicians still maintain close relations, they plan to record a joint song and a video for it.

Defeat at the "Voice of the Country" project marked the beginning of Mirzoyan's serious creative career. Immediately after the semifinals, the Ukrainian signed a contract with Universal Music for a 5-year ownership of the rights to the song Night, and on November 30, 2011, he released his debut solo album Buttons. It includes 11 original songs, including "Ivan Kupala" - a duet with Tonya Matvienko, future wife of Arsen, owner of the 2nd place on the show "Voice of the Country".

The second studio album - "Uncomfortable Beds" - was released 2 years later. It includes 11 songs about what deprives people of sleep: "Nylon bows", "On the border of winter", "When spring comes, I don't know" (duet with Alexander Ponomarev, mentor of the "Voice of the Country"). The video for the song "Winnie the Pooh", released on October 30, 2012, raised an acute problem of society - the lack of communication between parents and children.

The discography of the musician was replenished in 2016 - the collection "Paper Snow" included 10 compositions, including a duet with the Ukrainian race car driver Alexei Molchanov under the telling title "Confession of a Racer". The release of the fourth studio album "Words and Notes" took place in 2017.

Arsen Mirzoyan fought for the right to represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2017. At the selection, he performed the author's song "Geraldine", dedicated to the daughter of silent film actor Charlie Chaplin. The artist reached the semifinals. As a result, the country was represented by the rock group O. Torvald, whose performance can hardly be called successful - Ukraine took the penultimate place in the standings.

Arsen twice chose life partners, and now he is raising four children from both marriages. The musician came to the show "Voice of the Country" as a wealthy family man: together with his wife Anna, the man raised two sons - Vlad and Artem.

During the project, Mirzoyan met Antonina Matvienko. Friendship developed between the participants. In an interview with Caravan magazine, Tonya admitted that she did not even think about destroying the family, deliberately restricting communication with Arsen. At the end of 2013, the man came to Matvienko and said that he had filed for divorce. With this news, the personal life of a beautiful couple of Ukrainian show business began.

At first, the couple hid the relationship, but joint photos of Arsen and Tony appeared in the press more and more often. They wrote to the girl on Instagram that she was a homeless woman and cursed her.

Despite popular anger, on January 15, 2016, the artists had a daughter, Nina, and a year later, on June 15, 2017, the lovers got married. The ceremony was hosted by one of the most popular singers of Ukraine Oleg Vinnik.

Matvienko has a daughter Ulyana from her first early marriage, and together with her husband they are raising four children.

Now the musician is promoting the fourth studio album "Words and Notes", shooting clips.

On May 22, 2018, a video for the song "Idiots" was released on Mirzoyan's official YouTube channel, and on October 4, for the song "1000 times".
