Klimushkin managed to test all the near theatrical professions, from the watchman to the illuminator, until he was taken into the army.

After serving in the navy, Alexei returned home and again applied to the theater institute. In 1987, his dream finally came true. On the fourth attempt, Klimushkin entered LGITMiK. At the institute, he happened to study on the same course with Igor Lifanov and Dmitry Nagiyev. The guys became friends so tightly that fellow students even came up with a comic nickname for them - the "Little Red Riding Hood" trio. Together they participated in student performances, skits, having managed to maintain friendship even after graduating from the institute in 1992.

Immediately after receiving his diploma (Alexey is a professional actor and director), the artist got a role in the film "A Ticket to the Red Theater, or the Death of a Grave-digger" by Amurbek Gobashiev. Unfortunately, this tape was followed by a nine-year break in the artist's cinematic biography.

Friends invited Klimushkin to the radio. In those years, the network of independent music and other radio stations was just beginning to develop, and one of the first stations after Europe Plus was the newly opened Radio Modern.
