In the "Kolyada Theater" the artist played mainly humorous characters, participated in the performances "Moidodyr", "Russian Fairy Tales" and "Servant of Two Masters". Despite his love for the stage, the guy dreamed of acting in a movie.

Such an opportunity presented itself unexpectedly when Zhizhin was serving in the army. During this period, there was a casting for a new serial TNT film called "Patriot". Looking for the leading actor, the creators of the project managed to look at applicants from St. Petersburg and Moscow and decided to continue their search throughout Russia.

Producer Alexei Bazanov accidentally stumbled upon a video sent by Anton, then found a guy on a social network and realized that he fits perfectly into the image of the main character. Service in the army did not interfere with the casting: Zhizhin recorded a video directly from the barracks, where his colleagues played along.

Later, the actor passed additional tests and received approval for the role, which became his debut in the filmography. Almost a year and a half later, the shooting of the series began, where Anton played Sanya Kuchin, a former special forces fighter who returned from service to his native land. His hero sincerely loves his homeland and strives to make it better, meeting difficult periods of his biography with optimism.

In an interview for "Kinoafisha" the artist said that it was easy to play the role, because he, like Sanya Kuchin, served in the army, and this helped on the set. Despite the comedy plot of "Patriot", Zhizhin believes that his main goal is to raise the level of patriotism among young people. The character influenced him positively, and the guy became more attentive to others.

On February 27, 2020, the premiere screening of Patriot took place at the Illusion cinema, which was attended by the artist.
