Biography
Anthony Bajon made his debut as an actor under the direction of Léa Fehner in Les Ogres, released in 2016. The young man then played small roles in Maryline by Guillaume Gallienne and Rodin by Jacques Doillon. In this last film, he plays Auguster Beuret, the son of the sculptor Rodin, played by Vincent Lindon.
In 2018, Anthony achieved consecration with the role of Thomas in The Prayer by Cédric Kahn. To get out of addiction, Thomas joins an isolated community in the mountains run by former drug addicts who are treated by prayer. There he will discover friendship, rule, work, love and faith. His performance was awarded the Silver Bear for Best Actor at the Berlinale 2018 and a César nomination for Best Promising Male 2019.
Courted by French cinema, we see him in Jeanne Balibar's political comedy, Merveilles à Montfermeil, and as a pretender of Hafsia Herzi in You deserve a love. He won a second César nomination for best hope in 2020 for his performance in In the name of the earth, a drama on the agricultural world inspired by the director's own story. Anthony Bajon is the son of Guillaume Canet, a peasant in debt who is slowly sinking.
