Before coming to bodybuilding in 1997, Anna practiced sambo, taekwondo for some time and at the same time rocked.

Until the age of 16, Anna preferred traditional outfits and even had long hair. According to media reports, in her youth, the girl experienced severe stress from unrequited love and became disillusioned with the stronger sex. As a result of an unpleasant experience, she changed her image to sportswear and short hair and plunged headlong into professional sports.

Many have heard about the Russian girl who entered the top ten most powerful women on the planet, but not everyone was able to see Anna. At that time, Turaeva's weight was 60 kg, she mastered 110 kg, after which she immediately became the owner of the 1st place, and also received the title of master of sports. A month later, her personal best reached 150 kg in the bench press. So a new period began in Anna's sports biography.

Later, the absolute champion of Russia and Eurasia also conquered overseas peaks. The tournament was held in Las Vegas, Nevada, where she finished 1st at the World Championships and set a world record. For Anna Turaeva, this is an achievement.

Having become the world champion in powerlifting, Anna continues her coaching career in the south of the Russian Federation and is still indifferent to fame. After each tournament, she promises herself to leave the arena of professional sports, but then she comes back again and again.

During her career, Anna Turaeva herself twice organized powerlifting competitions. Under her leadership, the Black Sea Cup and the Yamal Cup were held. The athlete spent a lot of personal funds on the competition, the winners received cash prizes, gold chains, silver watches and sports nutrition as a reward.
