Anna Ivanovna Pingina is a native of the Krasnodar Territory. She was born on May 2, 1978 in Armavir. The family, besides her, had two more children. The girl was in love with singing and music, although her parents were not creative people: her father served in the police, and her mother worked as a medical worker.

Seeing the hobby of little Ani, they took her to a music club, where she began to study vocals professionally. In addition to singing, Pingina loved to draw as a child: in addition to music classes, she attended art school and studied design.

At school, Anna mastered the guitar and even created her own group. In high school, she composed the first compositions in the spirit of Bjork, Portished and Sinead O'Connor, whose work she was then fond of. The father of the then boyfriend had a strong influence on her preferences, he also came up with a sonorous stage name for her - Pingy.

After completing her secondary education, Pingina became a law student, but soon began to think about opting for a career as a professional musician. She graduated from an educational institution in 1995, but did not work in her specialty. Instead, Anna became a regular participant in folk and rock festivals and took the documents to the Krasnodar School of Music.

Pingina's first large-scale work was the role in the musical "West Side Story". The girl successfully coped with the role, and luck inspired her so much that at the end of the musical season in the theater, she went to conquer the capital.

Immediately after her arrival, Anna got to the casting of the musical Notre Dame de Paris, where she acted as a contender for the role of Esmeralda. Excitement let her down, and she sang the part not very well, but the director still managed to appreciate the expressive appearance of the artist and her vocal abilities and invited her to play Fleur de Lys. This is how Pingina first appeared on the big stage. In the musical, which gained incredible popularity among the Russian public, she remained until 2003, until the very closure of the project.

Anna's friend Valery Yaremenko invited her to a casting at the Mossovet Theater - there they recruited artists for the musical "Jesus Christ - Superstar". Both passed it successfully: Pingina got the role of Mary Magdalene, and Yaremenko - Judas.

Working in the theater did not make the girl forget about her own work. She sang in the musical groups Minus Trills and Hydrophonics, and in 2008 gathered her own team and started recording her first solo disc. From the songs written during his student days, a year later the album "My" in the genre of folk-rock turned out, which received the Independent Music Awards, and the track "Swallow" was recognized as the song of the year in the German Driven Creativity Competition (later this composition was shot on a spectacular clip).

Denis Adaev and Sergey Vishnyakov formed the core of Pingina's team. Later they invited the woodwind Oleg Drobinsky and percussionist Marian Kaldararu, and in 2009 they were joined by Aleksey Kozhanov from the Melnitsa folk group and Dmitry Frolov.

The next album "Ahimsa" again became a surprise for the folk-rock fans. It did not resemble Pingina's previous work - she decided to add hard guitar passages to the music, originally combined with ethnic motives. The compositions "Heart" and "Horses" became hits from him. The singer herself says that she works in the world music genre - a style that has no clear outlines, akin to both indie and psychedelic rock and folk music.

Anna joined the Voice project in October 2018. For “Blind Auditions” she chose a romance to the verses of Marina Tsvetaeva “The fierce grandmother told me”, after the performance of which three mentors at once wanted to invite her to their team. Pingina rejected the proposals of Sergei Shnurov and Konstantin Meladze and chose Basta.

In the singer's personal life, there was only 1 marriage. Future husband Alexander performed with her in the first line-up of the group, they met at the Mossovet Theater through a mutual friend Viktor Burko. Soon after the wedding, their son Ustin was born.

Anna lives with her family in Japan, where her husband was offered a project job. This was the beginning of a new hobby: after learning Japanese, she took part in the creation of Darling in the Franxx as an author and performer of music tracks.
