Anna Ivanovna Bogaliy was born in the Vologda region, in the village of Vozhega, on June 12, 1979, where she lived up to 5 years. There is no exact answer to inquiries about nationality. After the divorce of her parents, the girl and her mother moved to Murmansk. As a child, Anya attended different sections, but for a long time she was not fond of anything. Bogaliy came to biathlon to sign up for a company with a friend in 1991 and soon realized that she had found her calling. The desire to be the first in everything helped to develop natural talents, and success was not long in coming.

Anna graduated from the Lesgaft St. Petersburg University. After moving to Novosibirsk, the athlete played for the local club Lokomotiv until 2012. In this city, she received a diploma in economics at the University of Railways, taught physical education at the university.

At the beginning of her sports biography, Bogaliy was equal to the ten-time world champion Elena Golovina. The biathlete won her first medals at the 1998 European Youth Championship. A year later, the girl received silver at the World Junior Championships. The 1999/2000 season was decisive for the young athlete. After winning the Russian Cup, Anna Bogaliy joined the national team.

The next season brought the girl 3 awards at once in individual competitions and gold at the World Championships in Slovenia. Anna recalls her participation in the 2002 Olympics in Salt Lake City with disappointment, her debut performance at the 2001-2002 World Cup also cannot boast of outstanding achievements.

Being very self-critical and demanding of herself, Anya did not give up and did not become disappointed, continuing to train hard. The results of her efforts were reflected in the next sports season: Bogaliy won the gold medal in Antholz at the World Cup. A year later, in the German Oberhof at the World Championships, the biathlete brought her country two silver and one bronze medals, and also took 5th place in the overall standings.

In 2004, the girl got married, adding her husband to her last name. Now in the tournament tables she was listed as Anna Bogaliy-Titovets. The wedding took place on a grand scale, the newlyweds invited the whole biathlon team to the celebration.

The 2004/2005 season for the biathlete was marked by several awards at once. In Austria, the Russian team won gold, in Khanty-Mansiysk, Anna brought her team the 2nd place.

At the 2006 Olympic Games, the champion won a gold medal, and 2007 was unsuccessful for Anna Bogaliy, so she missed the World Cup this season. The next season, the biathlete again did not take part in tournaments due to pregnancy. Already 3 months after giving birth, Anya decided to return to sports and did not lose: at the Vancouver Olympics she won a gold medal, becoming a two-time Olympic champion.

After winning the Canadian Olympics, Bogaliy-Titovets participated in the World Cup races for 2 seasons, and in 2012 announced her retirement.

Having married in 2004 to FSB officer Maxim Titovets, in 2009 Anna gave birth to a child. The son was named after his father. Leaving the sport, she planned to devote herself to the family, but her personal life did not work out, and the couple soon divorced.

Anna's current husband, Andrey Levunin, is a businessman, his company specializes in sports ski equipment. The couple met at a children's biathlon competition, in the organization of which Bogaliy takes an active part. The couple limited themselves to registering at the registry office of Petrozavodsk, and instead of a pompous celebration, they went fishing.

Children and family have always occupied leading positions in Anna's life. Therefore, having left professional sports, the champion began to actively promote the project for the development of children's biathlon.

In addition to coaches, the athletes are assisted by an expert consultant on public behavior and emotional intelligence, Lyudmila Yurlova and the Kalashnikov concern. The latter has developed a special rifle similar to the one used by adults.
