Biography
Andrey Usachev has many talents. He is a playwright, screenwriter and radio presenter, the founder of the "Fun School of Children's Writers", where knowledge of a wide spectrum is brought to the young generation in a theatrical form - from fine arts to astronomy. But Usachev considers the literary field to be the main thing for himself, his favorite pastime is to write books for children.
fact
Childhood and youth
Andrey Usachev was born in Moscow in July 1958 in a family of teachers. The craving for creativity woke up at school when I had to write songs for the school ensemble "Klyuchi". But at first, poetry was not very interested, he preferred prose - he was read by Walter Scott, Fenimore Cooper and Mayne Read. "Two captains" by Veniamin Kaverin and "Urfin Dzhus" by Alexander Volkov were "wiped out".
Andrey became seriously interested in poetry thanks to David Tukhmanov's album "On the Waves of My Memory" and tried to compose lyrical and later humorous poems. The works of Daniil Kharms, about which the writer prepared his thesis, helped to determine the choice between humor and children's literature. It happened closer to 27 years old. And after graduating from school, Usachev dreamed of becoming a professional drummer, but entered the Institute of Electronic Technology.
It took Andrey 4 years to understand that he didn’t like and didn’t want to “obey and command,” therefore he served in the army and transferred to the philological department of Kalinin (now Tver) State University. The writer, according to the writer, is a free person.
There are many points in the work biography of the author of children's stories: he guarded the railway station and played in a restaurant, worked as a janitor and stage driver in a theater, cleaned beaches and edited a magazine.
Later Usachev came to the radio, where he conducted programs "Merry radio campaign", "Flying Sofa", wrote scripts for cartoons. The collection "Malusya and the Rogopedist", which is used by speech therapists as a methodological aid, has reached the rank of bestsellers. The textbook on "Fundamentals of Life Safety" and "Declaration of Human Rights" are recommended for the school curriculum
fact
Literature
Andrei Usachev deliberately entered the literary field in 1985, when the first poem was published in the Murzilka magazine. Recognition in the professional environment came rather quickly: in 1990, the collection "If you throw a stone up" was awarded a prize at the all-Russian competition for emerging writers. A year later, the first book was published, and the author became a member of the Writers' Union of Russia.
Candy and ladybug, flowers and fish, balloons became the characters of Usachev's poems, and after reading "Undaunted Horror Stories", children got acquainted with the mythical Miracle Yud, little rears and ghosts.
The popular cycle "Smart Dog Sonya" began with the cartoon of the same name. Then the dog's thoughts and the search for answers to questions took the form of books. The collection of stories about hedgehogs was awarded the main prize of the international literary festival "Wind of Change". For "333 cats" Andrey in 2006 was awarded at the national competition "Book of the Year". Usachev wrote "1000 and 1 Mouse" and "Myshariki" by the "order" of a young reader, who asked the writer to pay attention not only to cats.
The first copies of "Wrong Fairy Tales" were read with pleasure by the adults "uncles and aunts" in the publishing house, recalling their own childhood and such familiar poems, songs and stories, which acquired a somewhat parody character. The book is intended for the prepared reader who knows that in The Turnip it is the turnip that is pulled, not the fish, and in Little Red Riding Hood the wolf ate the girl, not the fly agaric.
On the basis of the "School of Snowmen" an audio performance was staged on the radio. The main characters of the book are Santa Claus and Snegurochka, and the snowmen are their helpers, and they all live together in the village of Dedmorozovka. Andrei came up with this fabulous settlement, by his own admission, as a sign of protest. Usachev categorically dislikes how the officials have arranged a story around the grandfather and granddaughter, with the construction of residences, tongue-tied speeches at New Year's trees: "Like a United Russia deputy." The writer believes that the children of Santa Claus should be presented as
The series also includes "Ghost from Dedmorozovka", "Olympic village Dedmorozovka", "Bag of laughter" and others.
From the pen of Usachev, not only works of art come out, but also original textbooks, the names of which speak for themselves. For example, "Multiplication table in verse", "The ABC of good behavior", "Drawing lessons", "Traffic rules".
The book "Zoology for Children" is a mini-encyclopedia about animals, with colorful illustrations and scientific commentaries in accessible language. "The Great and Mighty Russian Language" consists of poems explaining idiomatic expressions and phraseological units to children.
In 2013, the cartoon “The Adventures of“ Kotoboy ”" was released, for which Andrey Usachev reworked 4 stories about the Cat-Captain, his assistant and the Little Mouse-boy. In addition to him, the writer adapted 14 more works for television, including "Maid Bigelow", "The Girl and the Mole", "Chivalric Romance".
However, back in 2011, Andrei Alekseevich said that there are few animators who understand the author's intention and know how to convey it to young viewers. That is why the author did not like the project "Grandfather Mazai and Others", and "Prince Vladimir" was frankly bad.
fact
Personal life
In answering questions about his personal life, Andrei Usachev adheres to the humorous tone taken in his youth - he says that in marriage "30 years and 3 years", just like in a fairy tale. He brought up a son and daughter with his wife. The writer gives positive characteristics to everyone - his wife, children, relatives, hometown. Even the country and "sometimes - the government", and those are good.
Andrei does not use social networks - there is no time for this, this is a “big dump” where impunity reigns. A person who allows himself to offend others on the Internet will never say anything in the face, and one must answer for words and deeds. If someone wants to look for a writer on the Web, then let them turn to online stores that distribute his works.
Usachev himself rarely reads, because he gets tired of writing. However, if a book falls into the hands, it will be the works of Dina Rubina, Yuz Aleshkovsky or Lyudmila Ulitskaya.
Among his contemporaries and colleagues, Andrei likes Marina Pototskaya, Evgeny Klyuev, poems by Galina Dyadina and Mikhail Yasnov. According to the writer, the situation with children's poetry in Russia is much better than with prose. In addition to compatriots, Usachev recommends contacting foreign authors, among whom he himself likes Dick King Smith and Roald Dahl.
fact
Andrey Usachev now
In 2018, Andrey Usachev celebrated his 60th anniversary. As is customary among representatives of creative professions, the writer presented a gift to admirers of his work - another book dedicated to the smart dog Sonya was published. This time, through the efforts of the author, a funny mongrel learned to keep a diary.
The presentation of the work, which is called "The Diary of Sonya the Dog", took place in September at the House of Books on Novy Arbat, Moscow. The guests of the event had the opportunity to purchase a book with Usachev's autograph and take pictures with the writer.
The festive picture was spoiled by the conflict with the Soyuzmultfilm studio, in particular, the company's intention to shoot a sequel to the famous cartoons. Usachev was offered to develop a script for film stories about Winnie the Pooh, the hero who was glorified in the Soviet Union by Boris Zakhoder. The writer called such a move a theft and, as a negative example, cited the continuation of Prostokvashino, criticized by Eduard Uspensky. The latter, as you know, was the author of an original story familiar to millions.
