Andrey Repnikov is a Russian DJ, composer, musician and songwriter. His most successful projects were the pop group "Dirty Scammers" and the instrumental DJ duo "X-Mode".

Andrey was born and raised in Petrozavodsk in the family of the famous Soviet accordion player Albin Leonidovich Repnikov, professor of the Petrozavodsk branch of the Leningrad State Conservatory. Another son was brought up in the family - Anton, who also became a musician, having founded the group RU.ARE. At the beginning of his career, the young man performed under the pseudonym Gexogenn.

Andrey grew up in an atmosphere of music, so it's not surprising that rhythms, chords and harmonies have become a part of his life. But, unlike his father, Andrei was attracted not by academic or classical, but by modern dance music. As a schoolboy, Repnikov Jr. became interested in such a type of creativity as improvisation at the DJ console, which predetermined the young man's creative biography.

In 1991 Andrey Repnikov graduated from St. Petersburg State University of Culture, where he studied at the Faculty of Arts as a director. After receiving his diploma, the young man organized the first rap and hip-hop music festival in Russia and the countries of the former Soviet Union "Rap-Peak".

In 1994, Andrei Repnikov became a member of his first group, which was called "Two Pterodactyls" and was almost the only Russian-speaking group in the rave style. The team existed for three years, and after the death of one of the participants it ceased to exist.

In 1998 Andrey became a songwriter for the new band "Otpetye Swindlers". The guys positioned themselves as musical hooligans and stood out sharply among the majority of colleagues of that period for their brightness, charisma and energy. The group started out as a non-production project. Under the influence of DJ Tom Chaos, Sergey Amoralov and Garik Bogomazov began to rap to dance music, which attracted public attention to the group's work.

The first performance took place in Cherepovets at the Dancing City music festival. Songs from the first albums "From colored plasticine" and "Anything different" won the top lines of the charts of Russian radio stations. The popularity of the musical group grew every day.

Andrey Repnikov participated in the creation of the famous hits "Girls are different", "And by the river", "Love me, love", "Don't tell me anything." Musical compositions brought success to the team and a number of Golden Gramophone awards.

The first videos appeared almost immediately after the creation of the musical group. These were videos for the tracks "Quit smoking", "I am learning to dance", "Hali-gali". As part of the second group, the artist toured with concerts for three years. In the same years he became a laureate of the MUZ-TV award in the Ringtone of the Year nomination and the Movement award.

In total, the amount of musical material created by Repnikov reached 20 albums for various performers. Andrey also worked on writing remixes, the number of which has reached 200.

Andrei Repnikov's creations were also featured in films, for example, in the Belarusian sports drama "Team", as well as in the television series "Traffic cops".

And in 2011, Repnikov himself sang, and in his largest project "Dirty Fraudsters". This happened after one of the first members of the group, Igor "Garik" Bogomazov, decided to terminate the contract with the team that made his name and left the "Fraudsters". Repnikov participated in the recording of the tracks "Russo Turisto", "Capital", "Marry".

Musician Andrei Repnikov has been married for a long time. The wife's name is Lyubov, and the daughters are Daria and Ksenia, the eldest of whom in 2018 gave her grandson Alexander to her parents. The Repnikovs had to endure an ordeal, which, fortunately, is over.

In the summer of 2016, Repnikov was returning home from his dacha in his car. Andrey could not cope with the steering, the car turned over several times and got into a ditch. The singer was badly hurt. Several operations were performed, as a result of which Andrei fell into a coma and did not recover for a month. Only at the end of July did Andrey Repnikov come to his senses. Long months of rehabilitation followed.

Having recovered his health after suffering an injury, Andrei Repnikov decided to return to the musical group "Inveterate Swindlers", but former colleagues refused the musician. There was even a conflict between the band members over the authorship of many hits.

In 2018, after the showdown, Andrei Repnikov said that the group's activities would be suspended. On the singer's account on VKontakte (Repnikov does not use Instagram), joint photos with Garik Bogomazov appeared. Fans suspect that Andrei Repnikov is planning to resume his creative activities with the ex-soloist of Otpetykh Fraudsters.

Now Andrey Repnikov is engaged in new projects at his home studio, including as a composer, sound engineer and arranger.
