Despite successful training and victories, the duo soon broke up. In 2015, Andrei took to the ice, accompanied by the Frenchwoman Lola Esbrat.

From 2007 to 2013, Andrei Novoselov was a member of the Russian national team and represented the country in figure skating competitions. In the fall, Novoselov and Esbrat planned to play at a tournament in Germany, but did not receive admission, so the debut was postponed to the winter of 2016.
