Andrei was born in the winter of 1977 in Balashikha near Moscow, he is Russian by nationality. The debutant's performance did not go unnoticed by Vladimir Bogachev, President of the Powerlifting Federation. After that, in 1998, he invited Malanichev to the world championship held in Hungary. Having appeared for the first time in a competition of this level, he took 2nd place.

To gain weight quickly, the athlete adhered to 5-6 meals a day, each dish is enriched with proteins. He also tried not to skip training, on regular days he trained without equipment, and in the offseason he used bandages. Due to his dislike of equipment, having taken gold in the Titans Super Bowl in 2015, he stopped playing in the equipment division, where his best achievements were: squat with a weight of 485 kg, bench press - 265 kg and deadlift - 410 kg.

In 2016, Andrey visited Australia, where he took part in the ProRaw Big Dogs tournament and set two new world records. For the entire period of the "Russian hero" in sports, he managed to set more than 20 records. Despite hard training, he constantly lives on a schedule, depriving himself of any pleasure.
