Later, he took 1st place in the First World Games in China and received the title of Master of Sports in army hand-to-hand combat. The future champion began training at the local Sports Palace. At first, V. Zborovskiy became his mentor, later he came under the leadership of the world famous coach Alexander Shlemenko, from whom he adopted a peculiar manner of conducting a duel. The mentor taught him to aggressively attack the enemy, which made Andrey a dangerous fighter.

In MMA, the athlete made his debut in October 2010 at the WAFC tournament, which was held in Vladivostok. Alexey Arnazayev came out against Koreshkov, surrendering 1 minute after the start of the battle. Andrey won the next professional fight: although he ended up in the ring with an experienced athlete Anzor Kardanov, the young fighter managed not only to withstand, but to win by knockout.
