Figure skating is one of the most romantic sports. A weightless dance on ice, shining costumes, acrobatic sketches fascinate the audience and create a feeling of unreality of what is happening, and the skaters themselves on the ice seem to turn into mysterious fairy-tale heroes.

Andrey Dmitrievich Deputy was born in the capital of Ukraine Kiev on December 20, 1992. At the age of three, the boy was fascinated by watching ice dancing on TV and dreamed of joining them. Then the parents sent Andrey to the figure skating section. The boy's coach was the USSR champion Galina Vladislavovna Kukhar.

The biography is silent about the family and childhood of Andrey Deputat. The media do not know anything about the young man's childhood or education. It appeared on the radar screen of the press only in the early 2000s after the first competition.

In the 2008-2009 season, Andrei trained with the goal of joining the national figure skating team of Ukraine, but did not make it. The young man did not despair and in 2009 he already competed on the ice at the Liberty Summer international competitions, which were held in the United States. The pair Andrey Deputat - Vladislava Rybka took second place among juniors.

The next year, Andrey changed Kiev to Moscow, and the choreographer, coach of the highest category Sergey Vladimirovich Dobroskokov became his coach. Under the leadership of a new mentor, Andrei won silver at the Moscow youth championship next winter, paired with a novice and still inexperienced figure skater Polina Safronova.

Already in the summer of 2011, the skater picked up a new partner for himself - Vasilisa Alexandrovna Davankova. The girl recently came to pair figure skating, studied with the same coach as Andrei. In 2012, the Deputy became a member of the Russian national figure skating team - something that did not work out in Ukraine was successfully done by Andrey in Moscow.

In 2014, on April 9, the first performance of the Deputy with a new permanent partner - a figure skater from Yekaterinburg Vera Evgenievna Bazarova took place. In the fall of the same year, the couple went to international competitions in Europe. The first serious sporting achievement of the couple was their participation in the third stage of the Grand Prix in figure skating - the Cup of China 2014 tournament, which was held in Shanghai. Andrey and Vera were not included in the number of prize-winners of the tournament, but they seriously improved their results and gained enormous experience.

In the fall of 2014, the sixth stage of the Figure Skating Grand Prix was held in Japan. But even there, the pair Deputy - Bazarov did not earn medals, taking only fourth place. In the same 2014, competitions were held in Russia, but the skaters were not destined to achieve victory - again the fourth place. In the next season, 2015-2016, the results worsened altogether: in the national championship, young people were somewhere in the middle of the results table.

In the winter of 2015, Andrei and Vera took part in the World Winter Universiade held in Spain. Having performed in the short program, a couple from Russia ended up in the top three, but in the free program they lost support, as a result of which the overall result was at an average level. In February of the same year, Vera and Andrei took the honorable third place at the annual all-Russian figure skating competition.

In the fall of 2015, it was planned to perform skaters in Saransk, but for health reasons Vera was forced to refuse to participate. But in the middle of autumn, young people won the fifth place in the international Skate Canada International 2015 Tournament. But at the sixth final stage of the Grand Prix in figure skating of the 2015 season, held in the Japanese city of Nagano, the couple took fourth place.

The 2015-2016 season turned out to be successful for the Deputy - Bazarova: they won first place in the Tyrol Cup and first in the Russian Cup. Thanks to these victories at the 2016 World Championships, held in the USA, Bazarova and Deputy were included in the number of reserve skaters.

Andrey played on the ice during the regular competitions of the Russian Championship, and from the stands the champion of the Sochi 2014 Olympics Yekaterina Bobrova watched him. Shortly before Vera Bazarova left the big sport, the couple's performance in Canada at the Grand Prix held there was canceled. The reason for this was Andrei's health problems - the skater was diagnosed with an intervertebral hernia.

In August 2017, Andrey Deputat told the press that he also intends to end his sports career and focus on coaching and refereeing.
