Andrey Dementyev is a Russian theater and film actor, known for his work in such films as "Barvikha", "Somnambula" and "Hardcore". He was born in Yekaterinburg and got his name in honor of the famous paternal grandfather - the Soviet poet Andrei Dmitrievich Dementyev, the author of the lyrics to many popular songs.

Andrei's childhood cannot be called cloudless. When he was only 8 years old, his father shot himself. True, at the insistence of his grandfather, he also graduated from the music school at the Astrakhan State Conservatory and it was after her that he got his first job - at the Natalia Sats Children's Musical Theater. And in 2005 Dementyev was invited to the Moscow Operetta Theater, where he still works.

The first full-fledged step on the creative path of Andrei Dementyev was the TV project of the MTV channel "You are a movie star". Even before this show, the young man managed to take part in episodes of several films, such as "Patrol", "In the rhythm of tango" and "Kingdom of curves ...", but it was after the project that the actor's full-fledged debut in the youth comedy "Daring Days" took place.

Actually, this film can be considered the diploma work of the show "You are a movie star", because the director Ruslan Baltzer called other participants from the program, for example, Matvey Zubalevich, Leru Novikova and Ivan Trifonov. The famous actor Gosha Kutsenko also starred in the comedy. The picture was perceived ambiguously by spectators and specialists. In 2011, Andrei again tried on the role of Eugene in the sequel to Barvikha, a new project called Golden.

In addition to these films, Dementyev starred in the military drama “Afghanistan. Point of no return ”, based on real events, the criminal detective“ Terminal ”and the thriller“ Sleepwalker ”. And the young actor's latest work to date is the joint Russian-American sci-fi thriller Hardcore, which was released at the end of 2015 and will be shown on Russian screens in April 2016.
